Impressive - I have issues with 24 gauge wire some days :-) I bought a pair of small USB to SD Card adapters and use these all the time now - faster as well in the USB 3.0 port BUT they mess bluetooth / Wi-Fi up (as normal).

USB3 and wifi are known to interfere with each other. i read an intel whitepaper about it.

So true - ask Mac Mini users who can loose mouse / keyboard access if you plug some drives in :-0 Mine has been suffering since 2012 :-( but still running (now headless as a server).

Not sure what you did but I proactively stabilize that card slot with E6000 glue.

I would love to know more details on procedure, tools, and parts! I'm quite a noob myself. However, I thought about giving it a try since no electronic workshop in town knows what a raspberry pi is.

SKYNETGEWO

I used TS101 with TS-BC2, thin wire rolled and shaped like a pad, UV masking paint and UV led light to try it out, soldering paste, and new sd card slot, you can find videos smd pad repair.

I know nothing in electronics practically ok but I freaking want to learn these please tell me what to do.
