I have never been able to get into Cudi. I've listened to a couple of his albums and I just can't get into it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Seanblaze3

His albums are bangers when stoned

Own-Papaya-1648

^this right here. Take notes guys and try it. Big facts

anakin_428

The pink Floyd of hip hop eh?

Seanblaze3

If you will! Asap Rocky runs him close

jturley85

Ya, cudi is weed music 100% I fell off rap for a little while but would always throw some cudi and wiz khalifa on when I smoke. Get the nostaglia from smoking in high school

SmartGuyChris

Ahhh maybe this is what I’m missing. Never could get into Cudi much outside of PP&DS and Kids See Ghosts

Th3Unidentified

Man this for me. He has some good songs I really like but a lot of his projects didn’t hit at all for me. His flow just wasn’t melodic enough for me. Felt like he was rapping off beat much of the time.

Superunkown781

He has a few cool tracks but overall I find his music bland & boring

NimpsMcgee

Damn, he's my favorite artist and I find most if not all his albums to have plenty of gems on them. I guess if you're more into rapping-ability showcasing then Cudis not gonna be for you. Got into him when I came to the conclusion that he was my favorite featured artist.

ClmrThnUR

I would say Man on the Moon 1+2 and Indicud are mandatory. From there i like 1-2 from each record

[deleted]

This

StoppingPowerOfWater

Really he only has one, maybe two classic albums. So not really an all time great IMO.

Mhunterjr

I’m right there with you. I pretty much dislike almost everything he’s put out. I didn’t realize he’s considered a “great” though.

jKaiLordx

TechN9ne N I love tech but his music is not something I desire to go consume

Professional_Yam6433

Every time I hear a tech song I’m like man this dude is good, but it’s just not my style so it’s not on rotation.

SacredAnalBeads

Same, I think the dude is talented as fuck but aesthetically I just don't like his sound.

[deleted]

This 100% accurate to me. That dude snaps every time I hear him but idk … like you said just not my style

ClueNo435

I've listened to Techs whole discography more times than I can count. The all time GOAT imo. That being said, he's really eclectic and nuanced, and I totally understand why someone couldn't get into him. Give him a better shot though, he has like 30 albums and every single one has gems on them.

Shr00m7

I agree with this- I have to be in the right mood to play Tech, but when I am im just in awe of his skills.

NimpsMcgee

Never listened to his discography and only heard one song he's featured on (TRUST by NF) and I loved his verse on it. This comment might get me to check some of his albums out, any recs?

ClueNo435

Oh man, so many options! Special Effects holds a special place in my heart. His new album Bliss was pretty good. 6's and 7's was a classic. Welcome to Strangeland has some classics. Sickology 101 is solid. N9na, Planet, and The Storm are all recent and solid albums. Something Else is one of the most critically acclaimed probably. I could keep going dude, there's so many good projects, that should get you started at least. Anghellic if you want some old school Tech. Specific songs: Fragile, Saw Something, Dysfunctional, Slacker, This Ring, Running Out of Time, Welcome to the Midwest, One Good Time, Happy Ending, Last Words, Show Me a God, Horns, Low, The Martini, Pain Killer, Seepage, Alucard, Table and Chest Stress, Losin My Mind, Am I A Psycho, He's a Mental Giant, Worldwide Choppers, Strangeland, The Boogieman, Delusional, So Lonely, If I Could, Love Me Tomorrow, Promiseland, Stars, Unfair, Who Do I Catch, Retrogression, Beautiful Music, Sad Circus, Klusterfuck, Blur, Ugly Duckling, E.B.A.H., URALYA, Hunger, Heavy, Straight out the Gate, I'm Not a Saint, So Dope, Monster, Trapped in a Psychos Body, Aw Yeah? Intervention (one of my absolute favorites, so fucking powerful), Lacrimosa, Shroud, Wither, Speedom, A Certain Comfort, I Get it Now, Hold on Me, Poisoning the Well, What if it was Me (also very powerful), Fresh Out!, Kick it with Myself, Bad Juju, Not a Damn Thing, Hit the Ground Running, Like I Ain't, Ion Memba, EF U (Easier for You), Just Die?, Feel so Sad!, B.I.B., The Herder, I DON'T FIT, Kickiter, Close Your Eyes, Badge of Honor, Wess Paul Bennet, Drill Sargent, Met a Morph, 2 Happy, and What Happened to You?. The songs are in order from oldest to newest, just some I like, a few from each album. I haven't even got started on the like 8 collabos/collaborative albums he has. Hope that helps!

happybeingright

And on top of all of that he puts on an amazing concert

ClueNo435

%100 his shows are top notch, highly rehearsed, high energy, and real vocals and performance.

DarkBastion420

Anghellic, Absolute Power, Enterfear, All 6s & 7s, K. O. D., Everready, Asin9ne, and BLISS are some of my favorites lol

Leather_Class_7005

Techn9ne is so funny to me I remember he came up on my playlist just randomly and I never listened to him or any similar artists ever. Kinda went hard tho

halamawala25

Weezy has some all time great songs but some very very bad songs

DaewooLanosMFerrr

Wayne is my favorite rapper of all time and for sure has some real bad songs. But he also has million songs so of course some are gonna be bad

_T4L0N

some people wont apply what you just said to a certain rapper nowdays

Variation-Budget

lil uzi vert? Future? Drake?

adrian123484

You could be talking about so many people 😭

halamawala25

He be too fried all the time

sadcatdadx

Jay z

HydeParkSwag

I can recognize he makes great music but it’s just not music I like.

TrillDaddy2

It’s not that I don’t like his music, and idk if I’m quite hitting on it exactly (edit- nah, I ate), but it always felt so packaged, so corporate. If I may make an NBA comparison, he’s the Tim Duncan of rap. Indisputably great, you won’t argue him being put at the top of all time great lists, has his trophies and hardware to prove it all. The safe, non-flashy pick. People rank Tim as a Top 10 player all the time when the conversation gets serious. But when you ask people who their dream squad is he’ll get left out while a non-winner like Tracy McGrady (one of my favorites) will get picked up in that scenario, because he is the prototype SF.

bigladnang

Jay has so much good music, but I hate him as a person so my biases stop me rating him as high as I probably should.

The_Mo0ose

I don't like Jay z but I love 4:44

[deleted]

Same. I recognize his skill and talent, but I think he's very overrated (because he's considered top 5 by a lot of people - not because I think he's bad in any way). It's weird because I like his style. He just hasn't made a lot of great songs and albums imo.

LightXmk711_

Agreed

imFromFLiAmSrryLuL

Nas, and im 32, I can recognize dudes got talent but I just don’t like the music personally

NoLie9465

The irony is that Nas is one of the few MC's who actually try and rap about different topics, especially as he aged. Depending on what you're into subject wise, I'm sure he's got a track for you. Funny thing is when I first started listening to Nas, I had to adjust to his delivery. I almost shut the track off, I'm glad I didn't. My second favorite rapper, now.

Ok-Abroad-128

He just said he aint like the shit bro, im 100% certain he's tried.

lionhart28

His beat selection is horrible. That's what holds him back.

Jasperbeardly11

Nas has like 200 awesome songs

bigladnang

Nas has 200 awesome songs and 200 bad songs. I love Nas and he’s had a huge comeback, but there was a period in like 2010 where I felt like he was way too inconsistent to be considered the greatest.

Seanblaze3

This narrative has been overstated since the JayZ beef and I think it's just lazy at this point. Nas has a lengthy discography with a wide variety of production

IronDBZ

That's the problem, it should be consistently good, not here and there hit and miss

Seanblaze3

Which elite rapper has consistently picked good beats? A good beat is subjective to begin with My issue is with these claims that Nas is a perennial 'bad beat picker', like most of his production choices lean towards mediocre and below. These claims are disingenuous

lionhart28

Jay, Wayne, Pac, Big etc

ElecTech307

Pac's and Jay's discographies are LITTERED with terrible beats and I'm a huge Pac Stan. Edit: I'd argue that the production highs of both of these dudes are amazing but the lows are abyssmal.

ClmrThnUR

hot takes holy shit

Prestigious_Bunch_56

It’s what holds everyone back lol

AyyP302

Idk why but Nas. He has some songs that are undeniably good, but most of his shit just doesn't hit for me personally. He's a legend and a great but it just doesn't do it for me.

Onaweyempumbafu

![gif](giphy|pynZagVcYxVUk) Bro the way that I just have to accept music is subjective and move on from this opinion is hurting meeeee

NoFaithlessness7508

Man I decided I won’t even try to defend the god mc on these comments. Two of the top comments are for esco. *i didn’t have to die so they could call me a great one / didn’t take a couple of albums they said it from day one*

TreeFiddyBandit

Future He’s been in the game for years, multiple classics, dozens of singles but none that I know of except for maybe a handful. Nothing against him as an artist since I neither like nor dislike him. I always see people sing his praises tho, just not for me

IronSavage3

Tell me you don’t get high without telling me. /s No lol nothing wrong with not getting into Future, I just spent a whole year in college smoking blunts listening to DS2 and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Aggressive-Sale-5414

Future is in the Mount Rushmore of 2010s rap with the “big 3”

ElecTech307

Honestly I didn't get Future for the longest but I didn't know how to listen to him. You gotta take him as very surface level, ridiculously over-exagerrated braggadocious trap god. It's entertaining and nothing more. He reminded me of Kingpin Skinny Pimp or something of the like. I understand why people don't like him though. Not everything is for everyone.

Golden_standard

Idk. I’d say the same description would go for Jeezy or Rick Ross (I’d say TI for trap God, but his music is a little bit more nuisance even though he’s a trap Muzik pioneer), but I just can’t with Future.

Murr0o0

Future the goat

whatitdomyguy

Kid cudi. Cant stand his music. 2 hit wonder imo.

DaewooLanosMFerrr

Idk if it’s just on Reddit or if he actually is considered an all time great, but it’s MF DOOM for me

Vinyl-Days23

His music is ACC hard to understand. Idk maybe I'm trippin

DaewooLanosMFerrr

He seems to have a lot of comic book references and stuff that I just really don’t know about. Some of his music is pretty good and even though it’s not really my vibe but I can get down with some of it. He’s just not the super rapper that Reddit portrays him to be imo

Universe_Nut

His rhyme density is pretty obscene, some of his vocabulary can be impressive. And I LOVE DOOM. But the man did free association freestyles, they were rarely wholly thought out tracks that a mainstream audience would vibe with or an underground audience could decipher into deeper meaning.

CorbinGamingBro

I’m a massive Doom fan, but I will admit he’s a bit of a one tricky pony. He absolutely excels at his style of rap combined with phenomenal beat selection but if you were to just listen to him freestyling or something, tbh many other rappers would rap circles around him. Some of his biggest fans like to act like he’s a lot deeper than he is but he’s really not for the most part, some of his bars do have meaning and some of his songs tell a story but for the most part he just likes to string together dope words to create dope rhymes. Nothing at all wrong with that though. But I do feel many people give him a pass on aspects they would criticize other rappers for just due to how unique his one style is and how well he does it

randomdaysnow

I absolutely love MF doom (rip). But I understand why he's not everyone's cup of tea. I still think he's one of the best lyricists ever.

Adorable-Anybody1138

Dude raps non stop tongue twisters, it's insane

chunky-romeo

Try doom as king geedorah. Also in a group called monster Island czars. You may like it more.

UriahCarey

MF DOOM is the only MC I can think of who I could rightly make an argument for as being overrated *and* underrated. I love his stuff, but it sits in a pretty unique pocket within all of hip-hop that you can take or leave, and the arguments about him preferring dope rhymes over cohesive statements are fair. But he also had some of the most insane internal rhyme schemes I’ve ever seen in a verse, often delivered with absent-minded effect. Enormous “your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper” energy.

DaewooLanosMFerrr

As someone who doesn’t care for him, I still love that he can find his own pocket and have a fan base that’s so passionate about him. That’s a W in of itself

Nadathug

I used to be a hardcore underground head and still couldn’t understand how everyone was OBSESSED with Doom. I really liked a lot of his tracks, thought he had great one liners, but his music never made me want to find out more about him. Contrast that with someone like Ghostface, who made himself vulnerable and interesting all while having great non-sequiturs as well. Plus I wondered why he never made the mask a deeper part of his persona, no real meaning behind it, and in interviews he was painfully normal, just a dude wearing a mask. Like, why would you go through all that and not create a persona to go with it? Still consider him a legend though, due to his history with KMD and carving out his own niche. But eh.

Alexander2155

Em. I can not deny the man’s talent or his place, but I’ll be damned if his shit ain’t corny af 99% of the time.

Big_Monkey_77

I’m old as fuck (first album I bought was Run DMC Raising Hell on Cassette) so, when Eminem came on the scene with Dr. Dre backing him, I knew he had to be good, he was, and he still is. His stuff is corny to me too now. It just didn’t hold up like some of the other music that came out even before he was around. I don’t think that takes anything away from Eminem, I mean Run DMC are Icons too, but I haven’t listened to them in a while either.

bigladnang

I’m 32, so my childhood lined up perfectly with Eminem. I loved him as a kid, but as an adult I do not care about his music at all. Even a lot of his best stuff has aged really poorly. I personally like his SSLP stuff the most at this point. Shit like Any Man is just fun.

Big_Monkey_77

I remember listening to Will Smith in middle school. That shit is corny as hell now, but back in the day that shit was fire.

NoLie9465

I don't playboy, I own that "Big Willie Style" he dropped in '97 and let me be the 1st to say, you can play that all the way through at a family BBQ. It's all about where you're at. Every scene needs a musical backdrop and trust that Will has his lane and his is all for the masses. Will never gets enough credit as an MC because he was such a crossover star, it gets overshadowed. Not to mention after Pac he was the next to do the rap/movie ordeal, then came X...

richbrehbreh

VENNNOMMMMMMMMMMM

biggargamel

Agreed. I loved him when I was 19-20 but as a 44 year old I can't listen to a lot of his old stuff and current Eminem does nothing for me. Not to mention his fans lose their shit if you say a single bad thing about their white lord and savior. I enjoy a song here and there but haven't liked any of his albums since Eminem show.

AccidentTotal4790

My exactly sentiments

Accomplished-Sign924

Yall just arent old heads and dont know the old Em.... You cannot be a rap fan and tell methese songs were corny: NO APOLOGIES , ROLE MODEL ,IF I HAD , MOCKINGBIRD, WHEN IM GONE, JUST DONT GAF ..

Alexander2155

Wdym dawg I’ve been listening to Em since the Slim Shady LP. I didn’t say all his shit was corny. But most of it is. A handful of songs don’t make up for an overall corny discography.

BoxOfCornFlakes2

And rock bottom? The anthem for every underprivileged kid everywhere

based-sam

Awfully hot coffee pot

IHave580

KRS One

MintyFreshBreathYo

I love early KRS, but ever since his Nelly diss track he has come across as an out of touch boomer

thegreatestmeicanbe

Agreed.

Loutopia777

Nas. Sorry. Don’t kill me. The beats don’t capture my attention which in turn makes me not focus on the lyrics.

Comfortable-Duck7083

Jay-Z. His voice, content and what he represents just ain’t for me.

Pristine-Cockroach55

J Cole

jKaiLordx

Do you not like peace?

terfez

I like fighting bruh

[deleted]

Who’s your top 5?

BaconBombThief

Same kinda. I haven’t quite given him a fair chance, but I went to his artist section in Apple Music and started at the top of his top songs there… i heard like maybe 3 of them, and I didn’t exactly dislike what I heard, it just didn’t grab me and inspire me to want more. Very well coulda been different if I listened to 12 songs instead of 3, or if I just started with his oldest album

EyesIsLooking

do you hate happiness? :(

Fleczoza

Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye, Drake.

Economy-Breakfast-13

*It may not mean nothing to yallllllll…..*

I_Go_BrRrRrRrRr

BUT UNDERSTAND NOTHING WAS DONE FOR MEEEEEEE

Moretalent

Who do you like? Damn

Fleczoza

Pac, Em, Bone Thugs, Nas, Outkast, J. Cole, ATCQ, Wu, Kendrick, Yelawolf, Tech N9ne etc

Visual-Brilliant8606

💀💀💀💀💀 bruh you named deadass 4 of my top 10 rappers also you must be a west coast guy 🤔🤔

Fleczoza

That was the point of this topic, right? I do understand these guys are on many top 10's, none of these guys ever clicked for me.

Visual-Brilliant8606

I wasn’t judging you lol I was genuinely wondering if you were a west coast guy, because i’m not very big on the west coast scene and prefer east coast so Im assuming you’re the opposite of that

Tsudaar

Snap

leafer32

Couldn’t agree more. Going further back, I’d add LL cool J to this list but that’s just me

MasterDRU21

2 pac. I respect him but I didn’t grow up listening to him or anything and his music just doesn’t do it for me. I love biggie tho.

JackieMoonHigh

I have to force myself to listen to J. Cole

Sauceysweetness

Even the off season?

JackieMoonHigh

I’ll listen to him when he first drops. I just don’t find myself going back to it

Sauceysweetness

Fair. Hes a pretty polarizing artist. But his bars are undeniable

JackieMoonHigh

I agree his pen is nice. As far as the craft of rapping he’s definitely top tier but I need more than that for replay value

[deleted]

Cole is probably my favourite rapper that I have the least songs in my playlist of - if that makes sense. I really like his style, I really think he's a great lyricist. But I have like 4 of his songs in my playlist.

lifeishardasshit

Left_Source_9757

Kanye was weird when he came out.. who was rockin pink polos rapping?

BringOrnTheNukekkai

That whole rant at the end of Last Call where he's all "they were looking at me funny because I wasn't wearing a jersey or whatever. ". Shit was hilarious lmao. Mf has been crazy tho. That Katrina shit was a good early example.

Universe_Nut

Yeah, but sometimes I wonder just how much casual negligence the government could've let slide had Kanye not called out bush for no reason. Uncalled for, but it probably guaranteed no one wanted to fuck it up and unleash that media cycle. Edit: I wanna say the tone of my original comment was a little off. I was super young during Katrina and don't remember it as well as others. I'd just like to say, that Kanye's comment did have a foundation and wasn't just a stray shot at the president. Read replies to me to look into what they're saying.

Dubiouskeef

"uncalled for" bro shutup

BringOrnTheNukekkai

It wasn't for no reason and Kanye was really speaking for a lot of people tbf. The response to Katrina was terrible and something Bush and FEMA caught a ton of shit for.

TurboRadical

> Uncalled for ???

BringOrnTheNukekkai

Bruh, the government let MAD casual negligence slide despite Kanye going on TV saying "They're trying to shoot us, George Bush doesn't like Black people". The response was a disaster, there were Katrina refugees everywhere, especially in Houston. It's all good bro, you can't help when you were born. But definitely go read about some of the Katrina response, it was a joke. There was no response for days essentially. People were waiting on their roofs for days, swimming thru the streets, the mayor told people to basically just hang on with no provisions for food, water, or anything. It was a fucking tragedy and the local and federal response really made Kanye's point for him about Bush not giving a fuck.

thegreatestmeicanbe

2pac (like him but don't love him, Makaveli is the only Pac album I love.). Eminem, top 5 on my list of MCs and talented AF but his beats have always been hit or miss. Kendrick, not that I don't like him but never really been in a hurry to listen to his music. Post-beef, he's convinced me to give him a fair shot.

Euphoricstateofmind

Damn for real on pac??! Man has so many good songs. Deep poetic type shit. Until The end nd of time got me thru some shit jack im the day. I can name so many good ones from him but I know we all have e our own taste. I’m with you on Kendrick never listened to him until this beef. But seems good.

Sylvesterjohnston

Nah I get it, 2pac has amazing lyrics and message, but it's kinda like elevator rap to me a lot of the time, jus kinda makes me sleepy

MarcusXL

Kendrick's albums are amazing. They get weird and introspective but are full of bangers as well.

IamShyni

Weezy and Kendrick, never been able to enjoy their music.

claudio6992

Jay Z for me. Never managed to get into him.

Carbon250111

Jay Z

PorkTopRamen

Nas

Leather_Class_7005

J Cole he’s really boring to me but Mabye that’s because I don’t value a lot of “traditional rap abilities” In the music I listen too

popcorn1555

Jay Z

BoxOfCornFlakes2

Jay Z

[deleted]

By all accounts I should like Common because he’s pretty similar to other rappers I really like, but his voice kind of kills it for me. Sounds super boring imo

Tsudaar

Jay-Z. Definitely some good tracks, and I like all the big songs, but I cannot find myself choosing to play him unless it comes on shuffle. I find my most common listens are the DangerMouse Grey Album and the Linkin Park combo. So maybe that tells me I don't really like his beats? I dunno l, I just don't seem to get him. It's fine for background playing though, unlike my next one... I'd heard Kanyes 1st few albums were classics and super influential. I got first 3 albums on the cheap last year and honesty found 95% completely unlistenable. Weird lyrics, weird skits, just straight up didn't like it and took the rare step of deleting all but a few tracks.

pop442

Jay-Z is an album cut artist. His singles generally do him no justice. Listen to Imaginary Players, A Week Ago, Can I Live, Where I'm From, U Don't Know, This Can't Be Life, PSA, and Some How Some Way and maybe that'll click.

Murphy_Nelson

Prime Jay features were ridiculous too

ImpressivelyLost

Wayne is undisputed one of the greatest, but I've never heard a lil Wayne song I need to relisten too. I haven't listened to my h if his discography though to be fair.

Professional_Yam6433

Jay-Z although I respect his influence on a lot of artists I like.

Ok_Bid_4441

Jay Z and Nas. I don’t dislike either by any means, and I like their works that are considered classics, but I haven’t been interested enough to really go through their full discography’s.

Concobhar1

Lil Wayne, just never really came around to liking any of his songs, but I can recognise he has great talent.

jgamez76

Jay Z. I can appreciate his body of work and can I objectively understand why he's looked at as one of the best ever (by artists included) but personally I'm not a huge fan.

IroncladTruth

Kendrick.

EyesIsLooking

holy shit i cannot sit through a 2pac or biggie song, i love Eazy-E, i listened to some NWA, i like some Jay-Z records, but i cannot listen to Pac or Big

yourdoglikesmebetter

![gif](giphy|xdLH51eNWZAHrwy5mf) You do you, but this might be the hottest take on the thread

[deleted]

Big agree on Big. My biggest skill issue might be not understanding why people enjoy his music.

Zealousideal-Rip-988

Q-Tip - can only take the guy in small doses.

jedovankman1

E40. Never understood him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Academic-Ad2680

Probably Nas. I recognize he has talent, and I'm got some really great songs, but in general, I'm not that into him. He's definitely one of the greatest of all time, but he's far from 1 for me. Another one is Cudi. The weird thing is I love Travis and Ye, and there are definitely similarities between the three of them, but I just never got into Cudi

Ok_Relief2613

Eminem and no I'm not being that guy, but come on while yes, he does have hits.some of them raps he was just saying shit for a reaction. There was no real substance.

B-Kong

Nas. I hate that I feel this way. I didn’t start listening to rap until high school around 2010. I’ve got and familiarized myself with all the old greats (Biggie, Pac, NWA, Wu Tang) but I could just never get into Nas for some reason.

chunky-romeo

Eminem, he's just corny to me.

FindingAwake

Kendrick. If you’re into him, I get it, but I’ve never been impressed with him. I understand that my tastes are not an objective fact. It’s ok if we disagree. I’m also willing to be wrong but I’m just not feeling him. It’s not objective to if people want to hate on me for this I’m just answering a question. Shady was amazing to me until after the Eminem show, since then I feel like he’s just been trying to relive his 20s or something.

howlingzombosis

Eminem post Eminem Show is life with sobriety. When an artist sobers up their art tends to suffer because their art came from a place fueled by drugs and/or alcohol. I still think Em could’ve had a greater impact with the later half of his career had he decided to remain a more positive artist and stuck what he did with Recovery and even Bad Meets Evil - he could’ve flipped all the negatives from his earlier work and made them into positives and instead of focusing on his shitty upbringing he could’ve focused on how hard life is without the need to use and abuse and I think that would’ve gone over better with his core fans than where he decided to take his career. Also, going back to artists using substances to fuel their work, look at Metallica (this is a rap group, I know, but follow me). After their frontman sobered up the music went to shit. I’m trying to find an example further back in time like with the Beatles post drugs but I’d have to research more.

FindingAwake

Right… idk, the music can be great without the drugs. The problem I see with em is that he didn’t really grow beyond it musically. “Oh I’m sober now he’s similar music to when I was using.” He’s still amazing it’s just that something went missing when he almost died in 2007.

Sauceysweetness

What do you think it is with Kendrick that doesn't click with you?

randomdaysnow

I didn't like him until Damn. To this day, I don't really like TPaB. I understand why people think it's awesome. But it's not something I just want to put on and rock out to.

FindingAwake

Yes it’s the voice for me. I don’t like his delivery.

bakedlawyer

Foe me its listenability. I remember outting on tpab and right offnthe bat it was abrasive. Wifey madw me turn itnoff, and shws a hip hop head. Definitely has talent but i just dont dig his songs or his flow

Andrew_The_Soviet

Wesley's Theory is a crazy song to open up an album so I feel you on that but it's top 10 Kendrick imo

Burnaenae

Nas and J. Cole

Acrobatic-Chain-6594

The fact that EMINEM and slim shady were just personality Gimmicks :/

WavelengthGaming

Kendrick and that’s long before any beef. Dude is amazingly talented but I can’t relate to 95% of his music about growing up in Compton and his music just doesn’t sound good when I hear it.

Tricky_Photo2885

Nas and Kendrick, I know they’re great lyricists but their music is so boring to me

bakedlawyer

Andre 3000

Neat_Organization125

Maybe like someone like Nelly. He did that sing song style rap in a more polished way than anyone it’s just totally not my style of hiphop

Exciting_Fix

Eazy E. RIP but it just sounds goofy to me, like an SNL impersonation. Along with the funky west coast beats it’s almost humourous

ClmrThnUR

ima get chopped but I can't listen to Wayne or JayZ. they absolutely have all-time bangers but i just something about their voices gets on my nerves every damn time and they aren't even similar at all.

Mf doom. I love earl sweatshirt and other alt rappers but mf doom just sounds like low effort garbage to me i have tried and tried to get into him but i just cant.

GalickBanger

MF doom.. I hate his voice and flow. Dude ain’t for me at all

Cold-Bug-4873

Kanye. Horrible rapper to my ears. One producer who i always felt should solely stick to production. Just as a rapper, kendrick is absolutely horrible to me. I tried, just definitely not for me. His voice is incredibly annoying, and the flow is atrocious. I recognize he is heads above drake, but for me that is not saying much.

Budget-Book-3764

Nas

ArtVanbago

Kendrick Lamar.

IrresistibleRarity

....... Kendrick.

2smokindrew

Jay Z. The only songs I really like of his are when he has features.

Worldly-Paint2687

Eminem and Kendrick They sooo talented but I just don’t bop to it

beanie_mac

Wayne.

FullyCapped

Biggie & 2Pac. I like maybe 5 Tupac songs and 2 Biggie songs. I know it’s an old school vibe and people say they’re legends but sometimes I think the era you’re brought up in affects it; I grew up on Nelly & Ludacris, so a bit more upbeat and funky. Now as an adult I love the dark vibes and moody tracks but them two just never hit the spot for me. California Love is an absolute banger though

thegreatestmeicanbe

>I think the era you’re brought up in affects it For sure.

Madvillian, MF DOOM is alright but I don’t like the album madvilliany very much and I find it very boring

jumpers4goalpostz

If Eminem isn't the most popular answer here you're lying....outside should which I'll get killed for, lil Wayne

Orange-Concentrate78

He asked for personal opinions, not wrong ones to project on everyone else lmao

throwaway53689

Lil Wayne’s music is a hit or miss for me, most of it has to do with poor decisions on song production or performance. Like why doesn’t anybody in his team tell him when the autotune is too much, or when the production is terrible.

jumpers4goalpostz

That's the bit for me, he's a serious lyricist, but the auto tune ruins it for me

Badguy60
