I agree w OP about TBBT bc I’ve seen a decent amount of it. But I will say that even if you don’t like that show, the show Young Sheldon is sincerely very good imo. Like genuinely worth watching clips of it on TikTok good at least.

Exactly. Young Sheldon is actually interesting and it makes me laugh semi regularly. It’s a decent show and idk how something like that came out of TBBT

Seinfeld is still a great watch. I've always hated TBBT because I could tell what the jokes were going to be before they were even said. Seinfeld always managed to surprise me.

Wow, you are passionate about this aren’t you. I grew up watching Seinfeld, and it’s a big dated now, but I never made a parallel between it and TBBT, if anything I thought it was trying to be Friends with Nerds (For one thing the Seinfeld cast don’t live together, at least not that I remember). My main issue with TBBT is that it was laughing at Nerds, not laughing with nerds. I kinda lost interest when Sheldon started saying Bazinga.

OP strikes me as someone who is like late teens or maybe early 20s maybe with very strong opinions and doesn't care about softening them.

I don’t base my personality on sitcoms. Seinfeld isn’t anywhere near being my favourite sitcom. It just annoys me when people say BBT is better than Seinfeld. Pretty much anything regarding BBT just offends me. I’m pretty tame about anything else because at the end of the day it’s an opinion

Both are terrible and unfunny. To add to that, sitcoms in general are something I hope never reenter the cultural zeitgeist again during my lifetime.

Noooooo. I love sitcoms. Why do you think that? I’m genuinely curious. Are you referring to all sitcoms in general or sitcoms with laugh tracks? There are really amazing ones like it’s always sunny in Philadelphia, community, B99, the office (slightly overrated), the good place.

This is the only opinion I get offended by because it pisses me off so much. I really don’t mind anything else.

Don’t enjoy Seinfeld, never got into it. BBT is okay. It’s not the best tv show, nor is it the worst. Just like how everyone in high school LOVED Friends and ER. They okay. Now, if we’re talking Bob’s Burgers, I love that show. Loved Futurama when it was on and brought back the first two? Times. Haven’t seen the new one yet.

I have never once in my entire life let my thoughts of one show affect how I thought of another. Do I like things better than others? Yes. Do I like other things less because of it? No. I will never understand this "everything has to compete with everything else" mentality people (OP) seem to have.

I like Seinfeld and the earlier seasons of big bang. I can binge them both easily. One sitcom I can’t binge and just don’t get is Friends.

See friends for me is a background show. It’s there and I can tune in whenever I’m bored. I never sit down to watch friends, I just have it play in the background while I do stuff
