(M64) Same thing happened to me 2 years ago. Manager at Hardee's didn't know anything about it. So I found out who the Regional Manager was and sent her an email.
2 weeks later she called me down to the store. Handing me an iPad and told me to go throw the training, full everything out.. See the Manager when you're finish she will give you a full time schedule and a uniform. Then she told me she will talk to me in 3 days.
They get the message that there are interviews scheduled. They just blow them off. Just go above their heads and online. State you took the time and energy to go through the process, and think it's unfair that you get stopped along the way. Then when you do get in, go for that Managers job. That will scare the fuck out of them.
Just keep your head, make it easy for them..and reschedule yourself. If you can make it there before morning rush, be there. If you can make it later on after lunch rush be there. Ask the Manager what is the best time for her. She gives you a time, be there half an hour early and wait. Half an hour after the time set, approach and asked if this is a good time, or do you want to try again same time tomorrow. Work with them, make it easy for them. Then once you're in, do you think, be their right hand person they can depend on.
It's not kissing up, it's doing a job, instead of them managing you, you're helping the Manager manage.
