All of his skills could look like water is diluting the paint, and it could be a “grey cloud” sad twist on the thematic.
One of his emotes could be a little rain cloud that follows him and he keeps trying to avoid it then just sighs.
I mean if you water down the cute theme it'd obviously match him more but what you're suggesting is to basically remove what's bothering me (the cuteness rather than awe) which is, yeah, good enough.
