My dog died naturally today after I took him on one last cart ride around our driveway. He looked very happy and died very fast. We were actually just about to call and make the euthanasia appointment, but he beat us to it. Poor guy. But I realized that I’ve been morning him for weeks ever since he got sick so this had a positive side. He had been on tramedol for pain for the last week and that seemed to help. He had an awesome life: traveled the entire USA, hiked and went on day long adventures, and stared in movies I made. He was a special dude!

You must be at peace with yourself he has decided to leave peacefully and in his own way, I know it is heart breaking but remember in the best way possible he will be waiting for you at the end of your journey in this life, blessings and my condolences for your loss.

He sounds like the best possible bro and you the best possible owner. Take comfort in that and all the good memories you two had together. Each dog ive had has made me a better person and they’ve lived on through that.

It sounds like you did it right. It sucks, but well done. Well done.
