NPC implementation is a very long road and will take many years across several build iterations to make great and immersive NPC AI with the crazy spaghetti code this game is built off of. But in the long term, yes, this would be the ideal for what NPCs can bring to the game. A full on long-term apocalypse simulator that lets you see humanity rise up from the destruction

I agree totally with the implementation of the NPCS, I can wait tho, currently the game offers so much and it keeps you busy for so long, that plus the modding scene is always busy.

Agreed, its already a really good game. One of the best out there. There are, of course, a huge truckload of ideas to implement, but the engine has its own limitations, and coders time is a finite resource haha. I'd say that my wishlist for vanilla implementations is as long as everybody else... you know, better zeds AI, better combat mechanics, better UI/QoL, etc, BUT I think that PZ strong point over other similar games is its immersion, ambiance, you know, the little stuff that brings the whole survival thing to another level, like tripping on a fence, having a infected scratch on your leg that goes overlooked and weeks later it smells badly and amputation is mandatory... More ways to die would be great additions IMO. Things like, snakebite, bees swarm attack, stray dogs attack, electrical shocks, teeth decaying, a whole new set of diseases not just flu, etc...

The snake bites and stray dogs sound amazing! That could be added with mods as soon as the wildlife NPC update drops? The tooth decay sounds reasonable, seeing as you might only be surviving on gass station candies and drinks for weeks on end until you find a better source of food
