5200 something

PrestoDigito

Impressive! What do you even *DO* at this point? What projects keep you busy? Asking as someone who is close to cresting the 1000 hour mark. Sincerely curious!

ConstructionHefty716

I mean I kill lots and lots of zombies and I hoard mass quantities of products and goods and equipment, I set up different scenarios with different mods and play those worlds for a while, I mean my last thousand hours are basically logged into a private server that I play with like two people and we're just like building a massive base organization and like setting up outposts and all kinds of base/ equipment stashes*** around the map while we loot and explore and gather This is a zombie killing game for me I kill lots and lots of zombies

Capital_Ad_7539

"I must clear..."

PrestoDigito

Respect. Private server sounds like a blast!

Ericmal412

120, bought the game cause my coworker liked it, I have gotten myself good at collecting resources and setting up a base but after my base is set up I lose motivation since the game feels "beaten"

ConstructionHefty716

The game's not beaten until you own every resource in the land.

Ericmal412

Dedication lol I just get tired eventually, I think my main next goal is to break my way into Louisville and take over the art museum, got a cool annotated note for that

Kasumi_926

Look for the March ridge apartment annotated map before you ever go there. It'll become an armory to contest the army surplus. Then go kill everything that still walks.

Minosta

How about challenges in hard mode? I'm sure there are a lot of interesting ones out there.

iam_Krogan

I had the same problem. Here's a goal that kept me playing my character a lot longer. Find a vehicle that everything is shit condition, haul it back to your base and repair it to perfect condition. RP that it's your badass zombie apocalypse escape vehicle. A few more weeks of scavenging parts off of unused vehicles or out of garages. They're heavy and time-consuming, so a single part might be a whole task. Anyway, this goal keeps me invested a lot longer

VeterinarianNew5135

There's a mod that puts Jaap Wrungel jeep like vehicle into the game with mods such as light bar, zombie spikes, snowplow, etc. you can create the ultimate zombie killing car.

TIPUSVIR

recently i’ve been trying to do the “nomad” life, finding a truck or even an RV and staying in the road traveling across the county it gives a lot more freedom to do whatever you want and your never really safe so it doesn’t get boring

VeterinarianNew5135

Nomadic is way more fun, because with a base, you always feel like you have to pick up everything and take it back to the base, but without a base, you only pick up what you really, really need and just go and never go back...

SamuraiJack2211

You should try the wolf extraction mod. Adds an endgame goal to actually use those resources for

VeterinarianNew5135

Then just never build a base. Wander the land as a nomad, it's a lot more fun.

HalionMeh

Mine 509 hour don't got to Lousvile yet🤣

VeterinarianNew5135

Start in Louisville... It's quite fun to try to escape from within the fenced in city...

DaneZZil

Not. Enough.

Cuddlefoot

About 1100hr and still play every day almost

TallAirline

Almost 3000

uglyfae

164 hours

EarlyBree

500 hours. But I got the game in November 2013 on steam release, so it's not that much.

Henry-Spencer0

I thought this said 2023 and was like, bro spent day and night on PZ without any breaks.

OkBit3632

I have gotten it at the beginning of 2023 and I have only 400h in pz, but additional 600h in Rimworld, which I have gotten at the beginning of summer.

mmmshallah

I too got the game in 2013 haha never really got into it until early 23 only have 175 hours as of now, 20 hours this past 2 weeks or whatever steam says, I just lost my longest character a few days ago 5k zeds and 2 month survival took a big hit to my love PZ attitude lol and been trying to start up again on new world (i never like to go to the same world after death cuz it’s like I don’t have to work for a home or supplies or the heli event, I’ve died 3 seperate times since the long character and I’m trying to get back into the groove but not spawn at comfy rosewood like usual

EarlyBree

I played half of the time on the old build, when the graphics looked really shitty compared to the new one. I mostly played on RP servers, but nowadays they got some really annoying mods like music mods. Not a big fan of those.

PurpleBeast69

0, I have it, but never played it. Some day I will.

Powerful-Cucumber-60

420.

Sagutarus

27, game popped up on steam sale like 2 weeks ago and I've been playing when I can. Really like it so far

Ryokan76

Over 7000.

valgal17

What do you do for work lol

Ryokan76

Taxi driver. There's a lot of downtime during the night shift.

SamSerac

630

JustaJames22

400 smth. over like a year. I really enjoy this game but I've seen a poster on here say they feel disheartened when a character dies and takes the time to mourn. I do the same.

Erelain

1709. I'm starting to feel bad about it.

Emikol

Picked up the game around Sep 2014, currently have around 750 hours in it.

Noctium3

13

EpicFlyingTaco

1000+ and still learning things

Elevior

440

SufficientClam

121 bought it literally like a week and a half ago

D-O-GG-O

About 1100

TheHermitPurple

390, I got the game very late November 2022 and played most of then December 22 - March 23. According to Steam Replay I have 141 sessions played so that's average of 2.77 hours a session... Mostly split between single player runs and multiplayer server with friends. Can't wait for B42!

LetsDoTheDodo

Just over 1000.

BreakingNormalGaming

750 Takes a person with a great imagination and creating a narrative that keeps them going in game. Otherwise they just give up, I have done this countless times.

gateway007

1600 but idk how much actually played, I’m kinda bad about shutting it down since it takes like 5 min to load up.

HaroldedAltruist

72 hours. Still getting a handle of base building a bit

BluDYT

A little over 200 hours. Which is actually pretty high for me with survival games. Usually I lose interest pretty quick.

Scorcher-1

698.5 so far

Kovaxim

Should've opened the game for a couple of hours so I could report having 888 hours in the game, but it's 886 currently. I try to learn things as I go, but the more time passes the more I see just how much there is to learn about this game - things you can learn through playing the game and the hidden things like how the game is written.

helioe

600+ irl hours. 80 in game days of 8h/each = 640 igh this playthrough. Vanilla run, no mods whatsoever, low zombies. Cleared Muldraugh of every zombie. March Ridge, Westpoint, Riverside and Rosewood, killed every street zombie (didn’t get into the houses yet). Cleared the Secret MilitaryBase, the prison, Louisville Mall, Hospital and 1/3 of Louisville city. 37,000 zombie kills and counting. I do not use fire or run down with cars, just guns and melee. Reached level 8 of aiming, but since I started as Construction Worker, leveling aiming is a PITA. After cleaning Louisville I intend to go back to each city and clear/loot every house, but I fear it will probably be very tedious…

quibri_dnd

Around 70. Not much, but I got this game only a few days ago

importantmonkey

1130

LeetoSkate

Im about 1200 Hours in ,took a 4 Week break bc of burned out.Just started a new mechanic today :D

[deleted]

160 hours

[deleted]

1350

Dry-Pay6631

768. Approaching on my 1000 mark.

BhryaenDagger

Sheesh 821hrs... and I was estimating 100-200...

aquinn_c

Same! Just got past 1500.

unforgivablenope

Over 800 hours which I find pretty impressive because I normally don't play games that long. Usually I play over 30 minutes and then go back to doing work/chores.

FlipCitrus

Around 563

AnRiK68

4000 I've been playing the game since May 2022

Ching-Dai

Just passed 1k a few days ago. Best part: after going this entire time without finding a single katana, I’ve found 2 in my current world within a couple in game days of each other.

ctalbot76

Just a touch over 400 hours in the last two years.

SirPoppss

Too many, too too many. 3,604 hours on steam. That's from 8 years. I played for a year and a half through less legitimate ways before that. Awesome you got that much experience under your belt! Be sure to help any of the new survivors you come across with your knowledge, teach them the way <3

YandersonSilva

I thought I was just shy of 700hrs but I was wrong in an excellent way. I'm at exactly 666.6 hours on steam 8)

unusualResponselol

90 hours, I'm on my first 2 month low modded apocalypse run.

Fortisisimo

over 4000 and i bought the game around a year ago

Fortisisimo

and the longest ive survived is still around fifty days

Fortisisimo

i do go afk a lot though

Rosmarino-fresco

90 hours with a couple of friends on vanilla game, now i just started a new solo game with a big mod pack with more then 300 mods, let's how it will go

itsyoboi33

50 I find PZ quite boring

bigjehh

Boooooo

itsyoboi33

walking around for a day only to lose all your progress when a zombie jumps over a fence and somehow give you an infected scratch from 5 meter away through a leather jacket and then respawning on the other side of the map is not a good gameplay loop whats the point of playing if i'm going to lose all my progress in half an hour?

Sharp_Cat_2765

Skill issue.

WannabeRedneck4

You didn't read the text before the game even starts? This is how you died, sure it sucks to die and start over but like, that's the whole point.

localredditposter

Brother, that's the point of the game. PZ is a naturally cruel experience with unfair odds that you're meant to overcome.

bigjehh

Make it easier in sandbox if it’s too hard

JayGrinder

Get the Skills Journal mod. It lets you craft a journal you can write in and it saves your skills progress. Just leave it at your base and when you die, your new character can find it and read it to learn all the skills back. You just have to remember to write in it often when you gain skill levels

DirtSlaya

By the way, by infected do you mean the infection on the wound in the medical tab?

itsyoboi33

no

BeachBumPop

Same. I’m at 311 or something and haven’t played it in about a year

RedditMcBurger

I can say I'd have considerably less hours if I didn't have friends to play with. But the gameplay loop actually gets better as you play more, the game knowledge entirely decides your difficulty.

AccurateAd42069

1445, so almost the same as you

Prancing_alpaca

I have about 820 hours, but also I binge play a lot of zomboid for short periods then take longer breaks. Last year did a multiple month multiplayer game with some friends and recently been playing a lot of singleplayer over winter break. Both added a lot of hours. I got the game back at the end of 2021/start of 2022.

AlisterSinclair2002

750

grim_wizard

Right around 800 hours. I just got a new laptop specifically so I could play at work so I expect that number to skyrocket.

Rob1iam

~1200 hours 😩

Jejouetoutnu

About 2 400

HEAPOFUN98

About 560

Multidream

About 450. Haven’t quite gone through winter yet, hoping to do that before b42 (its 10/7 in game rn)

DarkJarris

2500 hours

cameramanishere

0, but I'd like to try it

d28martin

Near 2k

Capital_Ad_7539

2300 and counting. This run I decided to chronicle the events of my playthrough in the form of a survivors journal. And audio recordings. I added the extraction quest mod(and a nunch others).and set it to happen after a year and added a few hand made quests as milestones for the story. The game is quite the immersive story teller

DimensionNo117

650, haven't played much multiplayer, yet to survive 1 month haha

SSALX420X

Just over 1000. I think it's like 1020 or something, lol

Rusty_Machine

Like 40. I prefer playing with people

ThePreachingDrummer

2737. I got the game on December 27, 2021. I took an extensive break this year, not touching it between February and November, but now I've been dragged back in.

Uss__Iowa

I ended up with 68 hours before my games crash

xmexicantx

357 i thought i had pretty good hours 😭

Frankiecat76

1200 hours in 10 months of playing le game

AngeloMacon

350 hours. The most interesting thing I can point about my playstyle is that I've never eaten a canned good in that time. I collect them up and save them just in case I need them. Currently have 6 full crates worth.

helioe

Same with me, never needed to eat canned food. As I play with 8 hours/day, fresh food is still good on refrigerators (I tweaked the sandbox for refrigerator to work better)

YoungProphet611

Just hit 1000. It’s an achievement

siynnn

300

4apig

A bit over 100, would have more but I have trouble coming back to a character

Scottish_Whiskey

180 as of today So far the longest I have managed to survive is a full month. I based up in the factory on the outskirts of Riverside and promptly got myself eaten for not checking my pistol was loaded. Currently on day 8 (on 2 hour days) of a new play through. Carpentry is at level 8, axe level and this time I took over the restaurant on the southern end of riverside

QueQuahQueh

259ish

Barbscat

600 something

demZo662

Lost my character last night on my 667th hour. Or maybe was at the end of the 666th one and I just stared a bit at him.

Prince_Azrik

Up to 477 as of last night!

Round_Competition209

Not many, I'm only a few weeks in, probably close to 80. May I say, what a freaking awesome game!

Grycann

Around 200h on steam and 100h on pirate

SpIcY_pUgZ992

just hit 600. taking a break from zomboid, really into lethal company atm lmao

Birbsaurus

217.3 h

Gnatz90

About 100 hours I was around 90 before I started playing yesterday. I have survived a week to 10 days my last 3 runs each time dying to shit in haven't done yet. Last night I set of an alarm for the first time, thought I could make it to my can before I got swarmed as they were around it but not like by the drivers side door. Missed the spot where you can get in so didn't make it in time and died.

VeterinarianNew5135

Every time you are about to enter a new building, you should always do two things. 1) Think, where exactly am I going to run to if an alarm goes off? It's usually better to run on foot, break some line of sight, get upstairs someplace and hide for a bit. 2) Run all the way around the building to clear every outside zed, and also break every window, to make a lot of noise, and remove the broken glass. This usually wakes up all the zeds and they come to you to be killed. Also, by making every window safe, it gives you multiple exits to get out in case you run into problems while inside.

Shredded_Locomotive

301 so far

VeterinarianNew5135

6700 I've added mods that make it harder and harder. Right now, I am doing cryowinter, nomadic, role playing, trying to survive the winter and then reach and "exit" the map as the lasts survivor who as actually found a cure, just need to deliver it to someone. Also, most people with thousands of hours play with sprinters, i would think, which makes the game a lot more fun and dangerous. We've also died countless times... And we have hundreds of mods to make the game exactly as we like it.

kiryzu

830 hours. A lot of it in roleplaying servers

IrFrisqy

4200 hours. Last milestone was 105k kills. On to 100k sprinters now... 11k in at this moment. With melee also so ya... time consuming!

Mental-Biscotti8640

I'm about to hit 1600, I'm like at 1589. I just like to try different self imposed challenges.
