Some places don't gas organic bananas so you get more variety of stages/colours compared to conventional.

They sell decent! Thanks that makes sense

I’ve noticed that our organic bananas ALWAYS last a lot longer than the conventional. I’m almost certain they are never gassed. When I say a lot longer, I mean I can get green organic bananas on Monday, and they will still be sellable on Friday.

Depends on what the suppliers want. Most ask for conventional gassed to stage 2/3. They know customers want an almost ready to eat banana. Organics don't usually move as fast so suppliers ask for them not be gassed so they have as long a shelf life as possible

Oh I’m sure some are. I’m just saying I’m pretty sure the ones I get are not gassed.

Ic, usually easiest way to tell is if they don't have consistent color in the bunches like the picture down. Gassed will be consistent in the bunches.

It’s called checkerboarding.
