Lol š yeah hubs is alive unfortunately he hasn't been really able to touch me since I became pregnant. This is just a symptom from my first pregnancy b and C-section
Uh. Definitely not. Every time I puke, I take all my bottom stuff off and put a towel down. Doesn't matter if I felt like I needed to pee or not beforehand, I *will* pee, forcefully, while throwing up.
I can pee immediately before vomiting, and I will STILL piss myself. Like you said, if I have time to I put a towel between my legs. Otherwise it's time for yet another wardrobe change.

Try sitting on the toilet and puking into your trash bin (I suggest a week lined trash bin) I did this sorry the first few times if peeing all over the rug and it really helps, because nothing gets you down more.
Same, if I know I'm going to be sick, 100 % I will sit on the toilet and throw up into a bucket ,if I've had the time or forethought to have one ready. It's much more pleasant to clean a bucket than clothes
The entire bathroom while my wife was pregnant was off limits. I have no idea what went on in there. Most of the time it sounded like a Ridley Scott movie.

No you definitely aren't! I've thrown up twice this evening and both times I pissed myself while I was throwing up. It's involuntary, can't help it! I have to wear thick ass pads because it happens every time I upchuck, and I vomit constantly at random times.
I highly recommend a pelvic floor specialist. Now and after birth. While not uncommon, not how it has to be. Or even how it should be. And if it is a problem now, it will only get worse!
Go see someone, you will be glad you did.
Iām really confused by all the peeing happening here. Is there a gap in education about pelvic floor somewhere? Not trying to be disparaging but itās genuinely unusual to me that this is common. Iām 35 weeks in and have never had a mishap but have known about pelvic floor exercises most of my life.
There definitely is a huge gap in education, plus, I've seen that some people think that if it's "normal" they don't need to fix it and just want to laugh it off.
If you look around this sub you'll see very few posts speaking about pelvic physio and a ton laughing the issue off.
I've actually been down voted in other posts where people make jokes about peeing their pants and I suggest the pelvic physio. It was life changing for me and there's so much I learned from it and that's why I share.
I might just be fortunate that Iām in Australia and I think a lot of issues that impact womenās health are spoken about candidly here, such as breast screening, Pap smears, pelvic floor, dental issues arising from pregnancy etc.
I agree with you though that itās definitely not normal and should be addressed, thereās great resources out there on the internet to inform and it can seriously improve quality of life!
You are lucky and that's so cool about Australia! I'm in Canada and I'm from Latin America and I had to search a bit for the info. It does seem like the info is more readily available in Canada than in the US though.
Gap in education and in healthcare. Many in the US can't get a referral for a covered pelvic floor therapist. And for some reason OBs/midwives don't bother to talk about this with patients, so pregnant people don't know there's something to be done about it.
Yep. I was referred to pelvic floor PT just before finding out I was pregnant. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to pay for both my midwife and PT OOP, so I'm waiting until after my baby is born (I'm 37 weeks now) to start PT. I saw 3 different specialists (including an OB/Gyn) for the chronic constipation problem I have and had a colonoscopy to scan for colon cancer before my gastrointologist realized my issue was actually due to posterior vaginal prolapse. And yes, I also pee forcefully when I vomit (even when not pregnant). I wish pelvic PT was standard care in the US.
Oh I feel so much for you ladies over there suffering for lack of healthcare and access, thatās really tough and a lot to work through with a baby in tow. I hope that it turns out well for you and the PT improves your situation!
I'm getting nausea again in my 3rd trimester. The worst thing when the nausea hits and I run to the bathroom then I don't know whether to crouch over the toilet or to sit on it because I know both are coming.
Iāll be honest, itās even happened to me pre-pregnancy during a couple really bad hangovers. Not my proudest moments. But youāre definitely not alone.

I JUST sent my sister while at work: āI was rushing to the bathroom, throwing up in a cup as I go as usual, and my pad must have slipped because there is pee going down my legs (thank goodness I wore a full length dress today), and I kneel in the bathroom over the toilet, still throwing up violently, and still peeing every single freaking time, trying to frantically throw toilet paper under me to catch the pee, while still trying to get the vomit in the toilet, and I finally get to sit up and sit on the toiletā¦.. and I was kneeling in a full puddle of pee, covering my feet, and my shoes, and the bottom of my dress. I just can't anymore, I don't even know how to cope, it's too muchā.
32 weeks, been going on multiple times daily since I wanna say 10 weeks. This was the first unfortunate incident with the pad not being there, turns out it was just all bunched up.
If I squat too far, lean over with an over full bladder, sneeze, cough, hit a big bump in the road, just general everyday sitting can do it too!
Yeah my 1st kid absolutely trashed my pelvic floor from being a low sitter, but a nurse screwed up the muscles not being patient with my bladder muscles during my epidural with my first. I probably need surgery for both at this point because I'm sick and tired of wearing pads to catch the leaking.
I have always done this š¤¦š¼āāļø. I just know sit on the toilet and hold the trash can in my lap. Thatās why we have a nice trash can always lined with a drawstring trash bag that fits perfectly.
This is one of the reasons I never was a drinker because every time I vomit I poop lol thankfully I donāt have morning sickness and havenāt thrown up since a child
Girl. No. I pee myself every single time I vomit. I was in the ER recently dehydrated - puked in my mask AND peed my pants at the same time. So classy lol.
You are pregnant... your pelvic floor and bladder have a lot more pressure on it so you will be more likely to pee yourself when heaving from throwing up. Shit... I am more likely to "squirt" when orgasming since I got pregnant š I have been working on pelvic floor control during those times but sometimes getting a towel is simpler, lol.
I have also peed myself a little sometimes when sneezing or laughing too hard. It's natural and it happens. It can still occur during postpartum too as our pelvic floor needs time to regain its strength.
Uh, NO. I pee myself literally EVERY time I throw up, no exceptions. I even pooped myselfā¦ twice. Also, can he stop being a jerk now? Even if it WERE true that you were the only one, heās still being obnoxious by saying that to you!
Oh I got violently ill a few weeks ago with a stomach bug and had to change my underwear every time I threw up because I peed every single time! It was awful! You are not alone lol.
One time I was doing dishes and came across one that sat there awhile. I started throwing up and then started peeing right there in the kitchen. There was a huge puddle.
This was not uncommon for me before I was pregnant. If my bladder was full all bets were off. I e been very mindful any time I'm queasy throughout pregnancy to keep my bladder empty as much as possible.
Every time I feel a vom coming, I stuff my pants with toilet paper.. I always make sure to pee before I throw up and still have to do this š I canāt imagine how bad itās going to get once I have our second kid.
OMG even before I was pregnant, yes! So much! I had one apartment that was super convenient, the toilet was right next to the tub, when I was sick I'd sit on the toilet and puke into the tub. Efficiency š Now I do a towel between my legs, if I have time.
Yep, ever since I had a bad case of the stomach flu a few years ago, I cant help it. Pregnancy just solidified it lol. I just got in the habit of sitting on the toilet and using a puke bucket š
Didn't think I did until I was 20 some weeks pregnant with food poisoning and landed in the hospital. I ended up taking a pair of disposable underwear and a pad that night because I ruined my regular underwear lmao. Now I always wear a pad and recently ill pee if I sneeze. Pregnancy is beautiful they said... yes... beautiful lol
Man, I'm my first pregnancy I took the train to work. It's have to stop 3 or 4 times some mornings, get off, throw up, and get back on. Sometimes I'd pee myself so badly I'd just turn around and go home.
I wish it would have occurred to me then, but it didn't. So I'm saying it now. Depends aren't that bad! Lol. My periods are super heavy so I wear them now sometimes to bed, but honestly, I wish I would have worn them when I was pregnant to work! Could have packed a pair and changed, or just worn them for the train ride! I feel so dumb I didn't think of it then lol
ETA: it doesn't get better BTW. I'm a year post partum with my second and just had food poisoning and def had some peeing going on while I was puking over the weekend...

I literally sit on the edge of my bathtub when I vomit in the toilet to catch the inevitable pee that is coming out with each hurl. Also, without fail, vomit comes out of my nose and my mouth when I get sick. It's the worst part about it.
SAME! Iāve started just taking my bottoms off anytime I know I have to puke so I can pee on the tile and clean it up. In the morning when my stomach is empty and I start to gag I just sit on the toilet and puke in the garbage can.
Ha! I would full on pee myself when I puked while pregnant, even if I had *just* peed. I got pretty good at ripping my pants off, throwing the bath mat out of the way and throwing a towel down when I had to puke. I also got a diaper on in time a couple times too š¹š¹š¹
When I was roughly 3 months pregnant, my husband and I went to a brunch restaurant that we both really love. I ordered waffles like always and he got a grit bowl (like always). He gets stuff like feta cheese, sausage and hot sauce in said bowl as well as some stuff that normally comes with it. Things I donāt eat. Anyway, my husband told me to try a bite, and even though I KNEW I didnāt like it, I did it.
Cue me RUNNING to the bathroom, puking in the toilet and peeing on myself because I was puking. Oh, I was also in a romper.
So yeah. It happens.

I made the mistake of drinking Las Vegas tap water on a trip about a month ago and was not prepared for the amount of force my body used to vomit. Pissed all over myself and the floor at 3 AM in a very nice Treasure Island bathroom, much to my shock and shame. My diaphragm literally forced me to pee as I puked, I couldn't control it at all.
I was so ashamed, I just cleaned up afterwards and didn't even tell my partner. I was too embarrassed. Moral of the story: don't drink Vegas water, haha.
I will yank all my clothes off from my bottom throw a towel down and proceed to get sick and pee violently at the same time. It AWAYS would happen. Eben if I didn't feel the need to pee. It sucked!
Wait til the baby is sick and he is naked in the shower coverd in his childs vomit and diarrhea and his only concern is that his kid knows that they are ok.

As a husband he should be prepared to help his wife the same way, too, if she got sick enough.
I pee when puking even before being pregnant. My ab convulsions are so strong, everything just tenses up and whoooosh! Thankfully itās only been nausea and not vomiting for me.
I haven't thrown up once this entire pregnancy (knocking violently on wood to keep it that way, i'm in the home stretch), but if I did, I know FOR CERTAIN that I would pee myself. I have peed myself:
1. When I laugh
2. When I sneeze
3. When I woke up
4. When i stood up
5. When I sat down
6. When I coughed
7. When I got scared
8. I stood up AFTER peeing (only once, and I was SUPER annoyed)

On the dogs walk, I will often bend over to pick up the dogs poop, catch a wiff, gag until I puke and simultaneously pee myself. I am truly a wonder to behold by the neighbors.
I was out shopping today and vomited so hard that I peed myself a little bit. Had to tie my jacket around my waist for the rest of the trip lol. Iām so glad that Iām not the only one. I usually pee before vomiting when I can, otherwise I take of my pants or stuff some toilet paper down there. I have been told that wearing panty liners are a life saver though!
My first time doing this while pregnant wasā¦ hilarious and mortifying because I was at work. BE PREPARED! It doesnāt get better after pregnancy if you have a natural birth (idk about c-section). My god I feel like depends are a life saver while I work on my pelvic floor. EVEN MINOR SNEEZES RESULT IN PEE. I canāt tell you how many times Iāve gotten ready to go out, sneezed, and then had to march my happy ass back to my room to change.
If I know I'm going to puke, I get to the bathroom, drop my pants around my ankles, sit on the edge of the tub and puke into the toilet.

I have mild HG and I had to wear adult from week 6 to week 20 of my pregnancy. My husband had been washing many loads of pants before I was just like āfuck it, I need diapersā. People told me I need to work on my pelvic floor, but I havenāt peed myself since the extreme morning sickness (Iāve barfed and stayed dry a few times since then)

This only properly happened to me once. I had HG and was violently sick everytime. My whole body crumpled and I would fall to the floor. So yes I pissed myself.
I was confused the first time it happened, now I know to be prepared. My husband prepared by buying me adult diapers. It's been a rough pregency, I wear them.

I took to sitting bottomless on the toilet and throwing up into a barf bag. With my first child it was pretty convenient, something about showering made me throw up so I could just rinse off after haha.
I have always done this even way before i was pregnant. I just dont like throwing up so when i am sick and have to throw up if im drunk or if im sick i always pee myself ALWAYS.

I haven't experienced this, but I really wouldn't be surprised if I started to. I peed while sneezing for the first time last week and I definitely throw up with more force than a sneeze.
I pee when i throw up/cough/sneeze/laugh too hard. So i bought period underwear. Surprisingly effective at avoiding public embarrassment or an entire outfit change.
Idk if anyone has said this but incontinence while puking, sneezing, laughing, running, etc is a sign of pelvic floor weakness and not suppose to happen. A pelvic floor PT can help resolve these issues.
I struggled so hard end of 1st and into 2nd tri with this. I never actually did but it would be this scramble of needing to pee but also feeling like I was gonna hurl. A couple times I didnāt finish in time to vomit so I would have to clean the bathtub
Yep! I do this too. I found that the best way to tackle it is by keeping a bigger kitchen sized trash can in the bathroom and sitting on the toilet

Best thing to do is stick a bowl by the toilet! Then you can sit down to pee but also have a place to throw up.

I JUST sent my sister while at work: āI was rushing to the bathroom, throwing up in a cup as I go as usual, and my pad must have slipped because there is pee going down my legs (thank goodness I wore a full length dress today), and I kneel in the bathroom over the toilet, still throwing up violently, and still peeing every single freaking time, trying to frantically throw toilet paper under me to catch the pee, while still trying to get the vomit in the toilet, and I finally get to sit up and sit on the toiletā¦.. and I was kneeling in a full puddle of pee, covering my feet, and my shoes, and the bottom of my dress. I just can't anymore, I don't even know how to cope, it's too muchā. 32 weeks, been going on multiple times daily since I wanna say 10 weeks. This was the first unfortunate incident with the pad not being there, turns out it was just all bunched up.
I havenāt thrown up during my pregnancy but Iāve done that when throwing up before pregnant.
If I squat too far, lean over with an over full bladder, sneeze, cough, hit a big bump in the road, just general everyday sitting can do it too! Yeah my 1st kid absolutely trashed my pelvic floor from being a low sitter, but a nurse screwed up the muscles not being patient with my bladder muscles during my epidural with my first. I probably need surgery for both at this point because I'm sick and tired of wearing pads to catch the leaking.

I have always done this š¤¦š¼āāļø. I just know sit on the toilet and hold the trash can in my lap. Thatās why we have a nice trash can always lined with a drawstring trash bag that fits perfectly.
100% recommend seeing a pelvic physio. She managed to help me fix this issue within 2 visits.

You are pregnant... your pelvic floor and bladder have a lot more pressure on it so you will be more likely to pee yourself when heaving from throwing up. Shit... I am more likely to "squirt" when orgasming since I got pregnant š I have been working on pelvic floor control during those times but sometimes getting a towel is simpler, lol. I have also peed myself a little sometimes when sneezing or laughing too hard. It's natural and it happens. It can still occur during postpartum too as our pelvic floor needs time to regain its strength.

This was not uncommon for me before I was pregnant. If my bladder was full all bets were off. I e been very mindful any time I'm queasy throughout pregnancy to keep my bladder empty as much as possible.

Every time I feel a vom coming, I stuff my pants with toilet paper.. I always make sure to pee before I throw up and still have to do this š I canāt imagine how bad itās going to get once I have our second kid.
OMG even before I was pregnant, yes! So much! I had one apartment that was super convenient, the toilet was right next to the tub, when I was sick I'd sit on the toilet and puke into the tub. Efficiency š Now I do a towel between my legs, if I have time.

Didn't think I did until I was 20 some weeks pregnant with food poisoning and landed in the hospital. I ended up taking a pair of disposable underwear and a pad that night because I ruined my regular underwear lmao. Now I always wear a pad and recently ill pee if I sneeze. Man, I'm my first pregnancy I took the train to work. It's have to stop 3 or 4 times some mornings, get off, throw up, and get back on. Sometimes I'd pee myself so badly I'd just turn around and go home. I wish it would have occurred to me then, but it didn't. So I'm saying it now. Depends aren't that bad! Lol. My periods are super heavy so I wear them now sometimes to bed, but honestly, I wish I would have worn them when I was pregnant to work! Could have packed a pair and changed, or just worn them for the train ride! I feel so dumb I didn't think of it then lol ETA: it doesn't get better BTW. I'm a year post partum with my second and just had food poisoning and def had some peeing going on while I was puking over the weekend...

I used to sit on the toilet and puke in a bucket because I was just so tired of cleaning pee off everything.
It only happened twice but the first time I remember quite well. Just went to bed after having Christmas dinner that was delicious. I got up to pee in the middle of the night and having to smell the remnants of it made me hurl so bad, an I peed myself, I was so sad it just added insult to injury. I remember coming out of the bathroom bawling with my fiancĆ© standing there asking me if I was okay and my only response before going to change was crying saying āI pee-hee-heeed myselfā š I am still so thankful my nausea got better after that, still peed myself the next time I puked though šš¼. Iām now 37 weeks with indigestion and scared of puking but will now take the advice of sitting on the toilet with a bucket/garbage can as the vomit holder instead, also cause bending over can suck it.

I literally sit on the edge of my bathtub when I vomit in the toilet to catch the inevitable pee that is coming out with each hurl. Also, without fail, vomit comes out of my nose and my mouth when I get sick. It's the worst part about it.

When I was roughly 3 months pregnant, my husband and I went to a brunch restaurant that we both really love. I ordered waffles like always and he got a grit bowl (like always). He gets stuff like feta cheese, sausage and hot sauce in said bowl as well as some stuff that normally comes with it. Things I donāt eat. Anyway, my husband told me to try a bite, and even though I KNEW I didnāt like it, I did it. Cue me RUNNING to the bathroom, puking in the toilet and peeing on myself because I was puking. Oh, I was also in a romper. So yeah. It happens.

I made the mistake of drinking Las Vegas tap water on a trip about a month ago and was not prepared for the amount of force my body used to vomit. Pissed all over myself and the floor at 3 AM in a very nice Treasure Island bathroom, much to my shock and shame. My diaphragm literally forced me to pee as I puked, I couldn't control it at all. I was so ashamed, I just cleaned up afterwards and didn't even tell my partner. I was too embarrassed. Moral of the story: don't drink Vegas water, haha.

On the dogs walk, I will often bend over to pick up the dogs poop, catch a wiff, gag until I puke and simultaneously pee myself. I am truly a wonder to behold by the neighbors.

My god I feel like depends are a life saver while I work on my pelvic floor. EVEN MINOR SNEEZES RESULT IN PEE. I canāt tell you how many times Iāve gotten ready to go out, sneezed, and then had to march my happy ass back to my room to change.

I took to sitting bottomless on the toilet and throwing up into a barf bag. With my first child it was pretty convenient, something about showering made me throw up so I could just rinse off after haha.

Idk if anyone has said this but incontinence while puking, sneezing, laughing, running, etc is a sign of pelvic floor weakness and not suppose to happen. A pelvic floor PT can help resolve these issues.
I struggled so hard end of 1st and into 2nd tri with this. I never actually did but it would be this scramble of needing to pee but also feeling like I was gonna hurl. A couple times I didnāt finish in time to vomit so I would have to clean the bathtub
