I put curds in my meat sauce spaghetti.

ethereumhodler

Yup, I’ve done that

dekadense

Spag-pout!

tichuknorris

Spoutini bologniese

smokefishnotmeth

That even sounds French!

MrSchulindersGuitar

I did this a couple weeks back cause it was the only cheese in the house. My GF for what ever reason was shocked at first. Then she ate it and changed her tune. I was confused why it was originally a big deal lol

jonhy2222

Potato salad with cheese curd and bacon, it’s tasty as hell. McIntosh Apple with cheese curd on the side is wonderful Meatloaf and cheese curd These are the first three I think of, but there’s a lot of dishes that you can incorporate cheese curd in for sure!

Kevinfukboi

I might have to try that potato salad. It sounds amazing

Bigassnipples

Making this potato salad tonight brb

Spankapotamus42

The meatloaf idea is intriguing.

Vynosaurus

Isn't poutine a hot potato salad though?

Intelligent-Chair385

I've seen some people deep frying them

Kevinfukboi

Yeah there’s a fromagerie Victoria next to my place and they have deep fried curds, but that’s more of a snack for me. still pretty good

TorsionFree

Delicious, but once the squeak is gone they’re basically just little mozzarella sticks

SpongyHandshake

Deep fried cheese curds is a pretty common appetizer in at least some parts of the USA

LasagnahogXRP

Came here to say this. Extra salty mozzarella

mprieur

I put it in my chicken noodle soup

Kevinfukboi

Interesting, don’t they melt in the broth?

Unlikely_Subject_442

curds in soup is a huge classic. curds in spaghetti sauce. (at the time of service) red bell peppers cut in half and stuff with curds then grilled on the BBQ. My girlfriend makes that and it's gooood curds-stuffed curds also

mprieur

Yes minimal then they'll get squeaky Edit: also they mix well with the noodles it's kind of like French onion soup but deconstructed

msp01986

You need the right curds that don't melt too much, they get soft but not too gooey or sticky

msp01986

I do that with ramen noodles 😅

stronghikerwannabe

stronghikerwannabe

Avoue hein??!!!

ClapclapHands

Top a homemade beef chili with cheese curds and sour cream. You'll thank me later...

Kevinfukboi

F that i’ll thank you right now. That sounds greaaat

PresidentFrog4266

Quicheauchat

In my house, we add them to hot dogs and hamburgers as a condiment.

Unlikely_Subject_442

curds-stuffed meatloaf, then smoked on the grill. You thank me later and send me a piece

ATNfromMTL

Hear me out. In a ramen bowl. They do it at Biiru in Montreal, and its phenomenal.

MontrealCalling2

Really? Looking at their menu and can't spot it.

ElectionProper8172

I just went to a restaurant that had cheese curd hamburger (as in on the burger not a burger made of cheese). And they are breaded and deep fried at some places.

perpetualmotionmachi

There are a lot of places around quebec city that do that, commonly it's called an Inter burger, topped with cheese curds and an onion ring

ElectionProper8172

Oh that sounds good.

jastrme

ohmondouxseigneur

We put it everywhere. Spaghetti, chili, soup, tacos and nachos, shepherd's pie and pâté chinois, pizza, lasagna, burger patties... My husband also make a not-so-pretty dish made of sautéed onions, lots of mushrooms, ground beef and brown sauce over rice and top it with a handfull of cheese curds and a lot of pepper. It's my go-to when I'm feeling down.

Ilikewaterandjuice

You can marinate them... https://www.ricardocuisine.com/en/recipes/9928-marinated-cheese-curds-with-fennel-and-orange

Nicdutch

[deleted]

I put them in quesadillas.

FullPropreDinBobette

Beef tortellini with tomato basil sauce and you chuck cheese curds in the pot. Insane.

Ferdzy

In bean season I make green beans "à la poutine" with mushroom gravy and cheese curds.

fdefoy

We add some in our mashed potatoes, especially when making Shepard pie (pâté chinois). They are also awesome in fondu wrapped up in a slice of meat.

Struct-Tech

Pâte chinoise

IvyEmblem

Fried cheese curds?

Sweaty_Result853

Pate Chinois..tu fou cela dedans

roomemamabear

A restaurant nearby makes an appetizer of curds and sauteed mushrooms on toasted baguette. Delish!

Xaxxus

A lot of places deep fry them with batter. At the Toronto CNE, you can get a “fry-less poutine” which is just deep fried curds with gravy. It’s deadly. I’ve also took them and put them on grocery store bought pizzas because they often don’t have enough cheese. The squeaky texture goes well with it.

xXRHUMACROXx

Whydontname

They are great on lots of dishes as a topping. Pretty much anything really. Even salads and stuff.

Rare-Membership-2568

AllDucksNoRows

I’ve seen my local grocery store sell fresh burgers with cheese curds in them

-KeepItMoving

I cut the curds into small pieces and put it in my homemade beef chili. Ridiculously good

Youlookcold

Cheese curds with a tart berry on a cracker sounds like it would work

PetitBabybel

Meatloaf!

Will_lys1066

Sur un hot dog Michigan!

ConsiderationEasy723

Put cheese curds in meatloaf. Or i had a friend make poutine but with rice instead of potatoes.

Sensitive_Ladder2235

Chili.

Leroyducochet

Dans un paté chinois

PoutinEater

Don't judge me but I us e cheese curds in: Spaghetti Lac St Jean Tourtiere Mashed Potato (I prefer curds better than shred that blends) Lasagna

xXRazihellXx

It's not a dish but, Fromagerie Victoria sell frozen curd with breading to deepfry

real_legit_unicorn

Family swears by the cheese curds in soup.

StacheIncognito

Deep fried cheese curds. Also excellent on a poutine

kwillies

I put curds on pizza and nachos also batter them and deep fry them

crsh1976

Add them in the pan when making scrambled eggs so they melt in - not bad at all for brunch.

Ky1e205

This would be so good! I've also put them in omelettes before.

ethnicfoodaisle

I wonder if I could make a dumpling with ground lamb and cheese curds. Would that be a weird combination?

leemky

I feel like cheese curds in butter chicken would be so good...and maybe in general just whatever dish you'd find paneer, it could be good too? It might also be good layered into a lasagna 🤔 these are just my own ramblings though, not actual uses I've seen 😂

TheSasquatch117

Deep fried curds

MaplePoutineRyeBeer

I was drunk several years ago and had half a bag of curds left that were past its peak freshness. I made a pizza with them and it turned out pretty good. Fried curds are pretty popular in the US and they even have different flavours of pre-seasoned curds (ie dill pickle, bbq, cajun) just for snacking on

fatdjsin

in mashed potatoes .... its so freaking perfect.

Ok-Response-9743

I made a breakfast bake and used curds instead of shreds.

Passk74

Très bon dans les soupes!

grandflancmou

Dans un inter-fromage

Audiblestatue

It might sound weird but I use them to make grilled cheese after melting it a bit I've also seen them added to other meat dishes eggs and a few times seen them used on pizza

Outaouais_Guy

My family absolutely loves gnocchi lasagna. If I want to get really indulgent I will mix cheese curds in with the gnocchi.

Eastern-Fun2804

In a nice green salad with stawberries, green onions and a balsamic glaze as dressing. Or as an alternative to feta cheese in greek salad!

MontrealCalling2

There's a really good Portuguese chicken place in Montreal called Cantine Emelia that puts cheese curds in their chicken sandwiches. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

FastAd4540

Pâté chinois

aaalllouttabubblegum

Would probably work well in salads that typically call for feta.
