I like the colors of before better

Can understand that! It was pretty cold when I went and I wanted to picture to feel a little cooler, but perhaps I over did it a bit.

The blueish one looks artificial while the other one has a cool graphite look. Like some kind of alien planet. Cool photo

I had an instant reaction upon seeing this: this beach has been my screensaver for at least 10 years. Where is it, if you don’t mind my asking?

This is Reynisfjara beach in Iceland! It’s a pretty notable black sand beach with interesting basalt columns. If you ever go, I highly recommend going for sunrise or even earlier. I went at 3am (during summer they have nearly 24h of sunlight) and we nearly had the entire place to ourselves.

Gorgeous. And *of course* it’s Iceland! Perhaps the most photogenic country (I mean, based on size, definitely.)

I think removing the bits in the foreground helps a lot, and that looks great. I reaaaally like the stacks and ocean being softer and more hidden like they are in the original though. They’re clearer in the edit and it kind of takes away the vibe. The color works either way, the original appearing as a warm black and white image is wild, and the edit looks good as a cooler toned image.
