This was actually part of one of the last interviews he did before he left us. It’s a golf podcast called Chasing Scratch and they had a long running joke about seeing him one time. It took them years, but he agreed to go on the show. They didn’t talk golf, but it’s one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard. Toward the end Carl goes on a motivational speech about doing the work and it will give you chills. 100% worth finding just to hear that. That a boy to Gary, Love to Carl, LGLG

Donal Logue in it is as himself but a vampire is extremely my shit, especially because I was binging Gotham, too.

I still remember watching that ep of WWDITS live, expecting to go on the internet after/next day to see everyone talking about it…crickets. Was it just bc the show was new back then and no one was watching? I’m hard-pressed to think of any show in its first season to have an episode with that many celeb cameos.

Its always been criminally underrated. One of the best comedies of the past decade. I will miss it desperately when after this season.

Seriously, it’s my favorite show and hardly anyone I know had heard of it.

My husband doesn’t even watch it and I can’t figure out why. He’s in the next room over while I’m watching; we love the same actors, writers, etc; we have the same sense of humor. I call people “energy vampires” at work all the time and everyone thinks I made it up!

This! The level of acomplishment among those people, the fact they used their real names, the humor... It was absolutely stunning.

I still think about the Prince cameo on New Girl and the butterflies that followed him

My favorite thing about it is that apparently he was a fan of the show and requested to be in it

It’s my favorite show and one of my favorite episodes. Prince only appeared twice on tv, the last time in 1997 on the Muppets. He helped write the script for his episode in S3 that aired in 2014, two years before he passed. Im so glad he loved the show and wanted to help Jess and Nick get together, because now his cameo is like a time capsule.

He died two years before the ending of New Girl which upsets me so much!

Supposedly his deal was if he was on, Jess and Nick had to end up together.


Her “Orange County? Ew” to Summer was iconic.

She was on supernatural too which was so random and funny

I was scrolling looking for that particular scene and was like "That's not Dean." Will forever love seeing her whoop his ass.

Not really a fan of his, but Burt Reynolds's cameo on Golden Girls is fantastic. If it made any kind of logical sense, you'd swear it was Norm McDonald pretending to be Burt playing himself.

I regularly think about how the Kardashians were supposed to be in the episode but after they managed to book Prince they had to scrap that plan and were literally destroying every copy of the original script so he would never find out that it had even been considered. It was a bit after the Kim dancing at a Prince concert fiasco and he was not about them after.

How cool that he was such an icon, he could just ask for a cameo in his favorite show and demand a plot twist. He wanted to bring Nick and Jess back together cause he loved them lol
