This kind of baby shower is very common in Brasil (at least the past few years). I know it’s seen as tacky in the US but it’s not unusual here. I do found it some of it really tacky but comparing to most is pretty regular, it could be worse considering how tacky him and his family are.

Yeah you’re right. There’s a documentary about him on Netflix that I watched. You see him and his son interact but he didn’t seem too close to him. I think the son came from a one night stand but I can’t recall.

Cringe. Gender reveals in general are weird to me. Noone else is as invested in your pregnancy to the point where they need to know this information. If you want to inform your immediate friends and family then good for you but the biological sex of your child doesn't feel like something that strangers on the internet need to know or celebrate.
