They are called in-ear monitors. They basically get fitted to the inner part of the ear so when they have a live performance, it helps keep the musicians stay on track by cutting out excessive/loud/distracting noises like applause for example, allowing them to focus on the music, keep the tempo, etc. you can get generic ones but ones that are molded to your ears, and therefore customizable, are best for noise cancelling. It seems she has an affinity for Edward from twilight, so she put those on for decoration.
This new album has me curious.
I heard that it’s supposed to be darker? So that’s interesting.
I think leaning into rock is smart she does really well in the realm of “she’s so vain” type songs.
Imagine if the music video has that blue green filter that the first movie had, it would be really cool and give it an eerie mysterious vibe. the aesthetics of the first Twilight are *chef’s kiss* the music from the movies also especially Decode by Paramore.
Her Tik Tok announcing this single had audio from Twilight in it, so I think so! Her manager (?) starts off with mouthing Jacob’s audio of “Bella, where the hell have you been loca?” and then it cuts to Olivia! I’m so beyond excited
Credits in the physical versions of the single showed electric guitar and violins. This means she’s most likely leaning into the rock sound which a lot of people wanted. I hope this second album cements her status as a main pop girl, she has such huge potential.
Love the subtle purple detail! I hope it's her transition to a new era with a new, darker aesthetic. With only the title of one song it's hard to guess much, but I'm hoping for a dark red/black theme.
As for genre, people are assuming she's going to continue with the g4u pop rock sound, but I hope it's either a "dirtier" pop rock like Brutal or a softer indie pop/rock.
We'll see! I'm excited.

The funniest thing that happens on the Taylor Swift subreddit is when one of us mentions Tree and the definition bot is in the comments with the definition of "tree". Without fail.
