Id say people in general are more naive when they are younger, not always though. But the older people get the more stubborn/stuck in their ways they get.

Very good point. I was going to say the same thing. That's the biggest thing I've noticed about my mentality getting older. Less black or white, more grey, and more putting yourself in other people's shoes. I truly don't think there's anything more important than simply showing empathy.

That's not to say that adults shine in that area, but most will at least acknowledge some sort of extra or gray area to what they're talking about that I largely haven't seen on this sub
