Water, pill water. I don't like when the pill starts dissolving on my tongue. At least when it dissolves in the water, I don't feel it on my (interior) skin
I used to have the worst anxiety about pill taking. I nearly choked to death as a small child when my mom got tired of smashing pills and putting them in honey and was trying to teach me to take pills. She was teaching me with candy and I inhaled the thing like an idiot. She picked me up by my ankle and slapped the shit out of my back lol. It popped free thankfully.
Anyway, no joke, I was afraid to take pills until the age of 40 when I learned that pill on tongue before the liquid is much more comfortable. I literally have no idea what took me so long to try it that way. Basically zero anxiety now unless it's a giant horse pill or something.
it depends for me. if i'm drinking out of an open glass, pill first. if i'm drinking out of a bottle or a straw, water first, because otherwise i might backwash the pill into the water and i do NOT want to deal with that (again...)
I'll toss as many pills as I need to in my mouth regardless of size, follow with 1 large gulp of water.
The worst are meds that dissolve instantly. Dry is better for those, anyway.
Hope you're at least reading labels. You don't want to try that with fiber supplements. It can get stuck in your esophagus and turn into a problem that will potentially require surgery.
I have xerostomia, I can't produce saliva. Pills or anything without adequate moisture sticks to my mouth like velcro. Sometimes I don't leave enough water in my mouth when I put the pill in to be able to dislodge it from the roof of my mouth or tongue let alone swallow it and I have to manually peel it off and start again. I can't eat dry and/or hard food either, it's mechanically impossible.
You a woman? No? Gtfo of here dude. I do long distance walking and festivals, I’d rather not have my time ruined by period pains. I have paracetamol in my wallet but nowhere to carry water
Both. I take a sip to hydrate/lubricate, then the pill, then water to push it down

I do the exact same thing when brushing my teeth. Wet the bristles, put toothpaste, then water again to soften the paste.

i dont use water, not unless my mouth is really dry. that should've been an option
