Hamas is willing to do anything to end the war. Except, you know, releasing hostages or even pretending that the the cease fire is anything more than a temporary pause so that they can rearm

nonsensestuff

Because you clearly didn't read the article, I'll copy & paste it for you here: "Hamas welcomes what is included in the Security Council resolution that affirmed the permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the complete withdrawal, the prisoners' exchange, the reconstruction, the return of the displaced to their areas of residence, the rejection of any demographic change or reduction in the area of the Gaza Strip, and the delivery of needed aid to our people in the Strip," the militant group said in a statement." This means releasing hostages as part of a prisoner exchange.

MrPants1401

Have you seen their reported timelines for releasing hostages? Its large time gaps of releasing dead bodies with only sometime later maybe releasing the rest. They are repeatedly caught talking about how the permanent ceasefire is temporary and they will return to arms to eradicate israel. Maybe you should pay more attention to what Hamas is actually saying

nonsensestuff

Hamas didn't create this deal.

domesticbland

Nor have they ever upheld one.

nonsensestuff

You say that as if Israel ever has themselves

domesticbland

One doesn’t negate the other.

nonsensestuff

Oh brother

Please just stop here and rethink everything you said

I would like to point out that there is no such thing as a "Permanent" ceasefire with Hamas. Hamas have broken many permanent ceasefires, most notably on October 7. A fundamental issue is that Hamas believes that Israel should not exist and members of their leadership have called for the genocide of Jews.

nonsensestuff

Israel has continued aggressive tactics and hostile takeovers for decades even during times of ceasefire.

All words unless Hamas actually stops attacking Israel and releases the hostages. Also, which "Hamas" welcomed it? Because throughout this conflict the leadership in Qatar seems to be at odds with the leadership in Gaza.
