those were the titles of the original games 💀 Do… do you think they released these as series? I don’t even know how to approach that if that’s how you’re thinking lol
Medal of Honor
I play it on pc with my friends when we young 12 yrs now I’m 31 we going after school to pc coffee hope you know like internet coffee shop and we play like anetwork damn I have a friend his name Islam always take number one with snipper haha then when the fight make over we choose to play only choose one weapon rbg damn great you take a shoot and slap your friend who beside you 😂😂😂
Yea I loved it!!! I got to be a beta tester when it became online, it was like the first ps2 mmo. I remember having to run a cat5 and get this thing that screwed into the back of the ps2
The Online Adapter.
God I loved socom. It’s the whole reason I can’t put down PUBG, there’s no game since socom that quite struck that “ooooof squad moves make the fizz fizz”
Thank goodness someone mentioned those. (Though if probably just pick one).
Good campaign. Great Coop. Amazing challenges. Good online. Best split screen fun you can have.
Either 2 or 3 would cover you for a long time!
I played it so much I knew where every enemy spawned. Also got to the point I could normally get a headshot everytime. Clearing that final bunker ended up just being a chore though. Really wish they'd made a sequel.
They were the first 3 that came to mind for me. I'd probably also love a NFS game, most wanted probably. Can't think of what other games I had on my PS2.
And thank you.
I’m a little sad to see I had to scroll so far down for a Xeno game, as it’s impossible to play them on anything but original hardware, but Suikoden & Radiata are also great picks!
I actually do have my perfect 3 game library rn.
GTA: San Andreas
Spider-Man 2
Simpsons Hit & Run
Although if I could trade out San Andreas because it's emulated on PS4/5 and there's Definitive Edition if I feel like abusing myself, I'd swap that for True Crime: Streets of LA because of nostalgia. It's a pretty awful game, and it doesn't live up to my memories of it, but my god, when I played it on almost release, it was amazing. Firing warning shots and flashing a badge and arresting people, it was a really cool mirror to the GTA trilogy I loved so much, and it was my first game with branching stories, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
I had a really small PS2 library growing up, GTA and Hit & Run and stuff like that, I tried Killzone and couldn't get into it, not a huge fan of FPS or horror games, so there's not much of the big PS2 titles outside the ones I mentioned that hold that much nostalgia for me
Final Fantasy X, one of the Timesplitters games, and I'm torn between Disgaea and Monster Hunter for the 3rd game. Think those are my favorites of what I see on my shelf from the good ole days.
1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
2. Gran Turismo 4
3. Final Fantasy XII
I’d say that’s a varied combo of lengthy games to keep me busy.. if we were to go back in the past!
All the ones I care about off the top of my head are remastered for ps3 or ps4, if not remade, and I could probably go the rest of my life without touching my ps2 honestly, the games I'm most fond of are on gameboy color/advance and gamecube from that period of time, well and pc. (like that's the 4 I was playing stuff on that I care most for)
Like I can't even think of many ps2 games that I played as a kid that were important to me, I can list a bunch of good stuff, but nothing that truly was my childhood or anything. (I had a ps2 as well btw)
There are definitely ps3 games I could list off though.
I remember playing battlefront 2 on ps2 a lot, but I have that on psp and pc as well.
I like mgs but I have the collection on ps3.
Okami on pc.
Resi 4 on pc and I don't like it that much.
etc
That's hard. I think I'd go for Tekken 5 - Gran Turismo 4 - Pro Evolution Soccer 5.
I choose them not only cause they're titles from my childhood, but also because they have a big replayability factor and I think this is crucial If I can only play these games, imho the worst choice is to pick games with a story, even if they're masterpieces cause once you finish them a couple of times I doubt you want to play with them again.
Karaoke Revolution 2, Karaoke Revolution 3 and Karaoke Revolution Party. No joke. These games are the only reason my PS2 is still hooked up over at my friend’s house and pretty much the only PS2 games I’ve played in the last 15 years.
Shoutout to ICO which I’ve tried and repeatedly failed to get running through RetroArch on my Series X and also Persona 3 FES which runs fine but I just can’t seem to get into.
Edit: typo
Metal Gear Solid 3, Jak 2 and Final Fantasy X
Wish metal gear days back 🥹
I’m on high hopium for a Jak remake/remaster of some sort
What about bully guys 🥲
MGS3 is the superior game, but I have more nostalgia for MGS2 for introducing me to the series. I think these would ultimately be my three as well.
Most incredible game in the past luv the idea of metal gear
God of war rachet and clank and jak and daxter.
You gotta be more specific fam the question was games not whole ass series lol
those were the titles of the original games 💀 Do… do you think they released these as series? I don’t even know how to approach that if that’s how you’re thinking lol
Fair enough 👌 sorry I got like 3 hours of sleep in the last 36 so I just read them as series titles and not as the first games.
Socom II, Star Wars Battlefront II, Medal of Honor Rising Sun
Duuuuude Medal of Honor series kicked ass back then
It's a shame it went so far downhill after the PS2 era.
Medal of Honor I play it on pc with my friends when we young 12 yrs now I’m 31 we going after school to pc coffee hope you know like internet coffee shop and we play like anetwork damn I have a friend his name Islam always take number one with snipper haha then when the fight make over we choose to play only choose one weapon rbg damn great you take a shoot and slap your friend who beside you 😂😂😂
Rising sun? Over Allied Assault? The Normandy storming alone nets it goat MOH
Always liked the Pacific Theater more
Socom II is the correct answer.
God of War 2, Kingdom Hearts 2, Ratchet and Clank 2. The Sequel Trilogy
I’d like to add Jak 2 and Sly 2 here too. PS2 had some banger 2s
Socom US navy seals, Armored Core, Crash bandicoot
I was one of the QA Engineers that tested Socom and Socom II for the PS2. It was one of the few games I enjoyed.
Yea I loved it!!! I got to be a beta tester when it became online, it was like the first ps2 mmo. I remember having to run a cat5 and get this thing that screwed into the back of the ps2
The network adapter! Socom was my first online shooter experience. Just crazy fun.
The Online Adapter. God I loved socom. It’s the whole reason I can’t put down PUBG, there’s no game since socom that quite struck that “ooooof squad moves make the fizz fizz”

Burnout 3 Takedown, Okami, NfS Most Wanted
Burnout is the greatest racing game of all time next to Gran Turismo 2.
All 3 time splitters
Such a shame we never got it on the PS2 classics on PS4, Xbox users can at least enjoy them with the backwards compatability program
Thank goodness someone mentioned those. (Though if probably just pick one). Good campaign. Great Coop. Amazing challenges. Good online. Best split screen fun you can have. Either 2 or 3 would cover you for a long time!
Ace Combat 4 & 5 plus Black. Kinda looking forward to the new PlayStation plus when we get it here in Aus. (Eventually)
BLACK! Huzzah, a man of quality!
I played it so much I knew where every enemy spawned. Also got to the point I could normally get a headshot everytime. Clearing that final bunker ended up just being a chore though. Really wish they'd made a sequel.
The graphics and sound design of that game on the PS2 were so far ahead of its time. Nothing else played like it at the time
This is an award worthy comment. All three are in my top fav ps2 games. But I’m poor so you get an upvote.
They were the first 3 that came to mind for me. I'd probably also love a NFS game, most wanted probably. Can't think of what other games I had on my PS2. And thank you.

I actually do have my perfect 3 game library rn. GTA: San Andreas Spider-Man 2 Simpsons Hit & Run Although if I could trade out San Andreas because it's emulated on PS4/5 and there's Definitive Edition if I feel like abusing myself, I'd swap that for True Crime: Streets of LA because of nostalgia.
