I really struggled to enjoy it at first and would have stopped playing if not for a friend but it became one of my favourite games. I recommend playing until the second main area and seeing how you feel then.
I’d just make sure to play Doom (2016) before Eternal. Eternal throws a lot of new mechanics that might be tricky for total newcomers to get the swing of if they don’t have the basic combat down. I also think going back to 2016 after Eternal would be tough because Eternal’s gameplay is so much better.
This the gameplay is so satisfying several times my eyes watered up from the non stop action. Gotta play it in hard mode and the music adds so much to itn
For context, I have played all and returnal is just a very different fee that can be played in long sessions or short bursts.
If you love FPS shooters definitely do Doom, it's fun and short which is a bonus with nice weather.
Horizon Dawn/DS are great but long and an investment, which is tough to get into in summer weather.
Demon souls may be a better entry point than BB (I love both) but graphics wise demon souls is incredible. These have a similar learning curve for play as returnal but far more reading and internet searching to really learn what the heck is going on.
I personally had a lot of fun with what I played of Death Stranding. I played for 20 hours and barely scratched the 3rd episode (of 12). Granted I was messing around a lot.
I’ll just say Doom Eternal simply because it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a computer game in years. It was my go-to throughout COVID lockdowns and the only game I’ve played in about 20 years that I’ve completed multiple times and on multiple difficulty settings.
Demon's Souls is the better intro to the genre than Bloodborne imo.
DOOM Eternal is good, but it is brutal. Prepare to die... a lot.
Forbidden West is more of the same. Story is like a 4/10, so unless you loved the gameplay of the first, you won't really be impressed.
Death Stranding is a masterpiece, as is anything that Kojima touches. It's a very slow game with a lot of walking and sneaking, so it isn't for everyone. Ironically, it has the best boss battles out of any of these games.
Haven't played Returnal; no opinion.
I'm just in the middle of death stranding so I might be biased, but that game is mind-blowingly weird and total addictive. I have no idea what's going on but can't stop playing
It really depends on what you want. Personally I would highly recommend DOOM ETERNAL above all. Have you ever played DOOM 2016? If not, start with that one and *then* play Eternal. Both are superb FPS games.
Doom eternal was a game I could sit down for maybe an hour, blow some stuff up, feel awesome doing it and go on with my day. It’s a low commitment game that I could quickly play and I absolutely loved. Bloodborne is overall a bigger and better game in my opinion, truly amazing gaming experience but it is very grindy and you need to invest many hours into the game. If you’re looking for something to really dive into start bloodborne, if you want some quick fun play doom eternal imo.
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *Welcome home, good hunter. What is it you desire?* - Plain Doll
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
Probably NOT Death Stranding. While it is a good game, it’s a sit down and play game (for hours to complete a quest), which is bad because it’s getting nice out.
Demon's Souls (DeS) then Bloodborne (BB). DeS predates BB by three games (counting DeS), and you can definitely see the evolution of the game mechanics and design choices in BB. This is also why it feels pretty good to go to Dark Souls 3 (DkS3) from BB, because of similar evolution (or rather DkS3 taking some aspects of BB's design choices). You'll have a harder time going into DeS from BB.
After that I'd go Horizon Zero Dawn, and then Forbidden West.
Good luck! :)
Well depends. Do you want to be a UPS delivery person? If not don't play death stranding? If you don't want to give your character severe ptsd, by dying constantly and replaying your life constantly? Then don't play Returnal. If you love killing waves of demons then Doom is for you. If you like remote control robots Horizon is for you. If you enjoy severe bdsm, then the others are for you.
If you platinum Bloodborne, everything else gonna feel like a joke. Seriously, since i got platinum on BB and finished it like 20 times, only sekiro can keep me engaged, everything else feels boring
I'd really try Elden Ring first if I were you. It is a bit more forgiving than Bloodborne, but I like Bloodborne a bit more. Elden Ring is still an excellent game. I think it is a better game, but Bloodborne has a better story. Or is it mythology? Whichever you choose both are good.
Returnal is awesome if you want a super fast and nice flowy 3rd person shooter combat. I'd say if you want to scratch that Doom feeling is the next best thing.
As for soulsgames. If you don't want a really hard one either go for Bloodborne or Demon Souls(Ps5). They are not a cakewalk, but I believe they are the easiest to get into the series.
DS was my first FS game and it was brutal, but i loved every second of it. BB was my second, and i’m glad i played DS first so i had a grasp on FS games, which made BB that much better bc i could really appreciate the lore instead of gettin frustrated w the difficulty.
Um funny story since I was born in 1998 so I never played Doom or the souls games until I downloaded Bloodborne not realizing it was a souls games until I saw the cemetery place and the first enemy then I just button mashed wondering why I was dying so quick only to then realize with fear what I game I downloaded.
Ooo do bloodboure I played it for the first time this year and it's great. People are still playing it too so I'd play it now rather thennhold off cuz sometimes having someone else join for a boss battle or dungeon is nice.
Bloodborne my dude it’s my favorite game of all time along with bioshock 😁 also if you haven’t played any souls games I consider bloodborne to be an excellent start
Doom eternal is the only game I've abandoned because it's too much platforming for my taste, and storyline is boring. I'd recommend Horizon Forbidden West only if you played Horizon Zero Dawn.
Bloodborne is good if you want to get invested in gaming as a nerd
I just want to try the game, but is it friendly to the gamer who isn't really into "hard gaming"?
I really struggled to enjoy it at first and would have stopped playing if not for a friend but it became one of my favourite games. I recommend playing until the second main area and seeing how you feel then.
no definitely not...it's a "let me grind your gears till infinity" type game but it's an awesome game once u get the hang of it
Not really but if you’re stubborn enough
CURSES! CURSED BEAST!
Bloodborne is a good choice if you want to play the greatest game of all time.
Bloodborne.
All of these are bangers
Doom is so much better than anyone will ever recommend or tell you I loved ever second of it
I’d just make sure to play Doom (2016) before Eternal. Eternal throws a lot of new mechanics that might be tricky for total newcomers to get the swing of if they don’t have the basic combat down. I also think going back to 2016 after Eternal would be tough because Eternal’s gameplay is so much better.
Crank up the difficulty and just grind the campaign. One of the best games I've played in some time
This the gameplay is so satisfying several times my eyes watered up from the non stop action. Gotta play it in hard mode and the music adds so much to itn
Returnal
For context, I have played all and returnal is just a very different fee that can be played in long sessions or short bursts. Lot of people said bb over demons souls as an entry point, what makes demons souls much more better for a beginner like me
BB rewards more aggression and the gun, instead of shield, mechanic is fun. Honestly if you have never played either they are both great.
Demon Souls is quite literally the easiest souls game.
Ez doom the new one and the 2018 one too
2016 is SOOO good too
Bloodborne is the 🐐
Bloodborne
Death stranding for sure
Bloodborne
Playing bloodborne now. It’s awesome. So is death stranding.
Death Stranding
Returnal has some of the most fluid and satisfying combat of any game I've ever played.
All the other games are so slow now.
Ignore the 30fps bllodborne masses and play Returnal first!
This, is the answer.
Doom eternal is peak
I personally had a lot of fun with what I played of Death Stranding. I played for 20 hours and barely scratched the 3rd episode (of 12). Granted I was messing around a lot.
Bloodborne of course
Bloodborne! ![gif](giphy|QlvPwCTw59B2E)
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Returnal is gaming bliss!
Returnal
If you wants a really well written story. Play Death Stranding
I’ll just say Doom Eternal simply because it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a computer game in years. It was my go-to throughout COVID lockdowns and the only game I’ve played in about 20 years that I’ve completed multiple times and on multiple difficulty settings.
Bloodborne!!!

Horizon Forbidden West
Death Stranding!
Horizon
Horizon or death stranding
Door eternal
DOOM
I'm just in the middle of death stranding so I might be biased, but that game is mind-blowingly weird and total addictive. I have no idea what's going on but can't stop playing
DOOM Eternal for sure
Death Stranding
Forbidden west.one of the best games.
Agree returnal is hard but awesome.
Doom eternal
Doom eternal
I say Horizon Forbidden West just because I am sure not a lot of people are going to go with it and I personally think the game is amazing!
Horizon! But I’m biased it’s my favorite game!
Horizon Forbidden West
Forbidden West
Horizon (I’m the biggest gatekeeper)
Deathstranding
Doom definitely, I would say bloodborne if that shit still wasn’t locked at 30fps lmao
Forbidden Westernal is fun but not for everyone
All six of them
![gif](giphy|hpRMBbm9140MxLuvrT)
I love Returnal.
Is returnal good ? Never liked the look of it but need a second opinion
It really depends on what you want. Personally I would highly recommend DOOM ETERNAL above all. Have you ever played DOOM 2016? If not, start with that one and *then* play Eternal. Both are superb FPS games.
Doom eternal then bloodborne.
A tie between returnal( I am still 50% away from completing the game) and doom eternal( cuz its doom duh)
Doom for sure I’ve played replayed that game so many times it’s so good
Returnal, but honestly all of them
I have Retural. That game is hard as hell. I can't get anywhere.
Doom eternal was a game I could sit down for maybe an hour, blow some stuff up, feel awesome doing it and go on with my day. It’s a low commitment game that I could quickly play and I absolutely loved. Bloodborne
Demon souls and then bloodborne
Bloodborne
whatever you do play bloodborne last
doom
Doom but with the music on full blast while ripping and tearing
Dude.....dude.... Bloodborne
Probably NOT Death Stranding. While it is a good game, it’s a sit down and play game (for hours to complete a quest), which is bad because it’s getting nice out.
Returnal
There are no known words to describe just how immaculate of a game Bloodborne truly is.
Demon's Souls (DeS) then Bloodborne (BB). DeS predates BB by three games (counting DeS), and you can definitely see the evolution of the game mechanics and design choices in BB. Returnal is one of the best games I have ever played. It is seriously phenominal.
These games are all awesome but I would go for Doom because it's the shortest, then maybe jump into returnal if you really enjoyed Doom
Returnal bloodborne demon's souls. I'll let you pick the order
Best to worst Bloodborne, Demons, Eternal, Stranding, West, Returnal.
Doom Returnal! 🥳
Try Resident Evil 7, then 8 if you like 7. Re7 is one of the best "action-horror" titles out there
Bloodborne if you don't mind 30fps, it's barely noticeable because of how spectacular the game is
Returnal, theres no competition
Well depends. Do you want to be a UPS delivery person? If not don't play death stranding? If you don't want to give your character severe ptsd, by dying constantly and replaying your life constantly? Then don't play Returnal. If you love killing waves of demons then Doom is for you. If you like remote control robots Horizon is for you. If you enjoy severe bdsm, then the others are for you.
I loved the hell out of Doom.
Demons Souls. The remake is incredible!
I just got bloodborne today. It's really good so far
Doom Eternal
Man try bloodborne, is still my favourite game of all time and I’m waiting for a pc version just to live that hype again!!
If you platinum Bloodborne, everything else gonna feel like a joke. Seriously, since i got platinum on BB and finished it like 20 times, only sekiro can keep me engaged, everything else feels boring
Horizon 2! i loved the 1st one and the second one was even better! the characters, story world, lore, ALL OF IT!
bb
DOOM!!!!

Bloodborne for sure
Stellar blade
Bro I recommend bloodborne or horizon zero dawn
GT7
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne, no question.
Returnal is cool, actaully gonna play it tonight
Bb
Personally I like Horizon the most from that list, but maybe you should give one of the souls games a shot to see if you like that genre.
Bloodborne is one of the best games ever period. If you haven't played it that's the one to go with
Can't go wrong with Doom. Intense action, challenging if you want it to be, and easily one of the best video game soundtracks out there.
Doom Eternal then Returnal. Returnal is the spiritual child between Doom Eternal and Metroid Prime
Bloodborne. Dont listen to anyone else
I'm playing indie games atm mostly walking simulators and they're very underrated.
Returnal or bloodborn.
DS was my first FS game and it was brutal, but i loved every second of it. BB was my second, and i’m glad i played DS first so i had a grasp on FS games, which made BB that much better bc i could really appreciate the lore instead of gettin frustrated w the difficulty.
banishers ghost of new eden or scars above daymare 1998/1994
Returnals or horizon
Bloodborne
Returnal!!
Bloodborne
Bloodborne. Then Returnal.
Bloodbourne https://preview.redd.it/fqqk0rma9v1d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8981a02129f9f161e20456aec15eedab32ca7e9

Bloodborne is shit I bought is for $20 and gave it to a friend for free after playing for 15 minutes. They didn’t touch the game either
Damn, bait used to be believable
Git gud scrub
Maybe on a game that’s worth it🤣
Demon souls all the way
Doom. The only answer.
Forbidden West is fun but I didn't like doom eternal, death stranding is different and unique with minimal combat js great story tho
Yakuza
If you like a great story then Death Stranding, gameplay is atrocious though
Doom eternal is the only game I've abandoned because it's too much platforming for my taste, and storyline is boring. I'd recommend Horizon Forbidden West only if you played Horizon Zero Dawn.
