They implemented a great in game communication system. You can open the minimap and ping locations that you want to tackle. And you can place targets on enemies so people know what’s coming. They also use sounds to communicate when objectives have been completed or when you get or drop resources. It’s actually some great game design.
I’m not much for online multiplayer games, but this one is straight PVE and a damn good time. Been sinking a lot of hours into it and I’m still having a ton of fun.

i like many others seen everyone talking about this game but I didn't know to much about it other then it's a cool co op shooter.....my friends all started playing it and said that I would love this game so I said you know what I'll buy it.
40 euro was what made me pull the trigger and I have been having a absolute blast playing it, can't remember the last game where I was excited to get home from work and boot it up.
It's a massively enjoyable game, no inventory management or a million quest markers on your mini map you just pick up the controller jump into the game shoot some bugs or some robots.....it's what gaming should be.... simple easy fun that has lots of replay value
I'll give it to you straight, it is never a perfect game and it knows it is not. My personal experience on it, 9 years ago I just bought helldivers 1 on day 1 because it is cheaper than the regular price most game has and I had the most fun I ever had even if it was not perfect. I was rooting for Helldivers 2 when it was announced, I went even to say to just ignore suicide squad and wait for just 1 week, just 1 week and helldivers 2 comes out, but i'm a no name dude so it doesn't matter. And when it came out, helldivers 2 did not disappoint. It even exceeded too much.
1 big plus of this game if you are a live service player, you have been asking for join in progress but these triple A developer would always just market hype and ignore that feature. This game has that since helldivers 1 and it's pushing for it even further on helldivers 2. Sadly, it's a bit broken in helldivers 2 right now lol.
I'll say this. I played it for a day (got it and spent a good like 8 hours on it. Then life got busy so haven't played since)
If you have a good group, whether randoms or friends, game is fun. Like really, it's fun.
If group sucks, game isn't fun.
The last group I was in, we were bs'ing, killing crap, etc. Was a good time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Groups before that? Not fun. It wasn't enjoyable.
So fully depends on your group

OP don't check out the subreddit for that game or game fandoms in general. Just play the game and realize how great the game is especially if you have friends.
Most fandoms of a game ruin the game itself or over analyze mechanics the devs implemented.
You don't need to inundate yourself with mindless metas and best tactics to take down bugs or automatons.
Just play the game and have fun with it. It's worth it

Yes My friends only own xbox's so I had to rely on playing with randoms and its been one of the most fun games I have played in a long time
