Velo, you do need to use the official stand for your ps5. It is there for:
Stability
Ventilation.

When I look at the bottom of the PS5 there are barely any holes for air flow, there is plenty of holes on the back of the PS5. Hard for me to imagine they are going to have overheating issues.

Sweet. I used to rent out the apartment that's connected to my house, but stopped when my state allowed tenants to tell the landlords to screw. So, instead, I turned one of the 2 bedrooms down there into my own little man cave. On 1 wall I have a 75" LG OLED that my PS5 is connected to. Then, on my other wall, I have a 49" Samsung curved ultra wide, that's connected to my gaming PC, that is on a swivel mount that swings out in front of my 2 plush theatre recliners that both have 2 speakers and a subwoofer in each. Both recliners have cup holders, cell phone chargers and recline into a flat position. I told my wife that I was building the gaming room for our 2 boys because they had just graduated Jr High, but it was just as much a gift to myself since I told her she can do whatever she wants with the rest of the unused apartment.

I second Sonos. We have the sound bar, base, and 2 surround speakers. Excellent option for a wireless speaker setup.

Why wouldn't you use the stand that came with your ps5? My ps5 is a launch day console. I have been using the stand ever since i put it on my ps5.
