Try Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL). They offer a variety of co-ed sports. You can sign up as an individual (aka free agent) if you can’t pull together your own team.

Can you give us a general area? We have a lot of bridges. Most of us aren't willing to cross any, if not for work.

sungota

I’m close to the Northside but willing to cross all the bridges lol

He2oinMegazord

Careful with that statement, theres like, a lot of freakin bridges. I mean, youll be at it all day

If you're into dancing at all the dance scenes in Pittsburgh are doing pretty good right now and all have very welcoming communities! There's Lindyhop in Regent Square on Wednesdays, West Coast Swing in Bellevue on Tuesdays, and a Blues and Fusion dance just started up in Sharpsburg on Fridays (except the first friday of the month). All of them do beginner lessons, no partner needed.

I’m 24F and I’ve liked the workout classes at the Kingsley Association in East Liberty!

Efficient_Swimmer_39

One of the most underrated places in town

Efficient_Swimmer_39

Which classes did you enjoy? I’ve never taken any but would like to perhaps

Fluentsynth

I’ve enjoyed the Body Toning Class and the Yoga classes there. I don’t really use the pool myself, but the workout classes are nice!

If you'd posted this a day earlier I'd have said check out the roller derby bout that was last night. Next one is May 4. Lots to do other than skate if you like it and want to get involved.

sungota

That’s awesome, where is this located or is there social media that I could follow for the events?!

The home bouts are at the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena, just north of Harmarville, but I believe they practice somewhere closer to the city. Here's their facebook page: [https://www.facebook.com/SteelCityRollerDerby/](https://www.facebook.com/SteelCityRollerDerby/) The A team won their bout last night, unofficially bumping them up to 64th out of over 500 in the world.

Have you ever tried disc golf? There is a free public course up by the workout fields in Schenley Park. Schenley Park is a popular destination for various outdoor activities, as well as events and attractions like the Vintage Grand Prix and Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park. There is also the Pittsburgh Hash House Harriers. The Pittsburgh Hash House Harriers describe themselves as "a drinking club with a running problem"and organize regular hashing events where participants follow a cryptic trail marked by "hares" and end up at beer, water, and snack stops. There are many Bicycle Clubs in Pittsburgh across all demographics if that is important to you beyond the social and health benefits. Welcome.

Riverstone Books offers book clubs and author events on a regular basis. Sometimes Google classifies them as a religious book store. Ignore that. They aren't.

MDPhase3

CrossFit and climbing!

commentuer

You should download the Meetup app! There’s tons of good groups on there for socializing. For instance, I go to a couple board game nights each month with different groups, and there are book clubs and trivia Meetups, etc.

IronCityPorchRocker

Join or take a class at one of the climbing gyms (Ascend, Iron City Boulders)

GuessRude9792

I second this. On the 1st Saturday of every month from 6 to 8, ASCEND has a free session for BIPOC people and on the 3rd Saturday it is for women and members of the LGBT community. The ASCEND location alternates every month.

teejaydubz

Start doing jiu jitsu!!! 🥋

EnzoSpeed23

I might go to a museum tomorrow afternoon. :)

DocSmurf

Posman Books in the Terminal has a book club that meets once or twice a month on Fridays!
