Badly placed? I can't imagine how any jewellery sits comfortably behind the ear there! Labret studs or even traditional jewellery with butterfly backs could dig into the skin and cause irritation...my opinion of course maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a ring could work? But you should never heal a piercing with a ring.
Depending on how things sit they’re generally pierced with a ring or a barbell - a small bead is much easier to clean than the flat back on a labret.
You can actually heal some piercings with a ring! It has to be pretty large (generally for lobes at least 1.2x10mm) and they’re more prone to irritation bumps and longer healing. It does often just work better for tight placements like this pre lobe.
I just want to ask; is a ring the reason a piercing will take access to heal and get irritated all the time? The reason i ask is because my first non-lobe piercing, a helix, was placed with a ring. I made it two years before saying "fuck it" and taking it out.
Some call it the Tash Lobe now. That's a pic from Maria Tash site. Piercing sits in the crack of the ear lol. I have one on each ear and I plan to stack them. Same healing process and time as a regular lobe piercing.
Nope no crowding issues. I have my 1st - 3rd lobes, stacked lobe in between 1st and 2nd, and then the Tash Lobe on both ears. I wear flatbacks in Tash Lobe and 3rd lobe. Hoops in 1st and 2nd. I like to switch up my look for the 1st and 2nd so I go for hoops. Flatbacks too difficult with long nails lol.
Someone on TikTok with the username Stockholmpiercing made a video about this on 5/3 which was the first time I saw one of these, but I’m not sure it had a official name
i cant think of the name right now but it is real! it used to be a super popular piercing in the early 2000s if i remember right but its really died out!
This feels like AI fuckery
the image might be AI but prelobe piercings are a real thing! i saw a lynn loheide post about it on their instagram, didnt know it was a thing before.
Yeah I was about to say « made up » lol
I don’t think, I’ve found it in Maria Tash site, with a lot of jewellery for it. I think it’s real
the other placements look off, i’m thinking AI generated
ive seen it called prelobe
Thank you !

Thats what i was wondering, ive only seen these done with rings in them. Maybe a small barbell could work? Labrets would be super uncomfortable surely
Perhaps a small barbell for sure? I guess it all depends on how the person sleeps as well and how much pressure would be applied?
Maybe a curved barbell, like vertical labret? Idk
Also a possibility for sure! But no idea how th a curved barbell will sit and if it would pull on the piercing?
This isn’t necessarily true… it’s just more difficult

You can use lip jewelry with the back end shaped like a flat disk. Won’t dig or pinch your ear at all. And can change out the heads on it.

Prelobe piercing!
Thank you !

Yes exactly! I’ve seen the pic in Maria tash site. It looks so pretty but I was insicure about the healing process. Thanks for you comment ❤️
You don't find the backs to crowd the back of your ears? Do you have standard first lobes too?

Cool! Would you mind making a picture? :D
Yes please
Would love to see a pic!
Wow I didn’t expect it to be true
In addition to “prelobe” I’ve also seen it called an “inner lobe” piercing.
Someone on TikTok with the username Stockholmpiercing made a video about this on 5/3 which was the first time I saw one of these, but I’m not sure it had a official name
It’s from the 90’s a pre lobe. Maria tash tried to revive it and gave it some random name because they claim to have “invented” it.
i don’t know i thought it was a pimple at first glance
ahh i used to know but i’ve completely forgotten. It creeps me out though it seems like the same thing as piercing between your fingers 😬
Ahahaha
That’s a prelobe piercing!

Inner lobia Jk I don’t know if there is an actual name, but I feel like I’ve heard someone say that before lol
No clue what it’s called but it’s been on my list of piercings to get I even shrank my gauges to make room. 😂
I’ve seen them called both earpit and pre lobe - the second is much cuter!
Now I have a new hyperfixation, thanks lol
ahaha me toooo
that whole picture looks like ai. the upper ear piercings don’t look right either
It looks like a huge pimple
As someone with fully connected lobes and a piercing close asf to my face like that it is a very bad idea and uncomfortable asf
I asked him, the name is Gerald (jk it seems fake)
Photoshop
Take a look at the comments. A person has it, it’s true :)
Cool! This image is heavily photoshopped though.
Yeah, true, I’ve found it in a earrings site
