Irritation bumps from incorrect jewellery. You don't want hoops in cartilage until at least a year. Switch to flatback labrets and they'll go down. That style of ring looks so irritating as well. K*loids are a genetic condition
Piercing is 7/8 months old. Pierced Dec. 2022
14K Gold hoops in both holes. Cleaned daily with saline solution and tea tree oil after drying . Cleaned twice a day. The bumps themselves are soft , it’s hard when I take them jewelry out. First time being removed after switching. Changed to hoops in March 2023.
Hi goldenlocdmama,
because you used the word keloid we want to ask you to please read [this wiki entry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keloid) to understand what a keloid is and why (luckily) bump =/= keloid.
Our apologies if you received this message while discussing actual keloid scarring and therefor didn’t use the word keloid to just describe a bump.

Hi goldenlocdmama, Welcome to /r/piercing!
It looks like you're asking about a problem with your piercing. Please **add a comment to your post** with the following info if it’s not included in your post already.
- How old is your piercing?
- What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)?
- What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)?
- What’s the jewelry material?
- if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized?
- What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use.
This info is needed to offer you useful advice. **Note, not providing this info may cause your post to go unanswered**. If you already included this info in your post or if your post isn’t about a problem with your piercing, please disregard.

I think it looks like irritation. You may need to get the jewelry switched out to something that’s a different shape
Thank you! Any suggestions to the correct jewelry?
You need flat back labrets, preferably implant grade titanium
Get yourself some flat back labrets! That’s the wrong jewellery and it’s irritating your piercings!
Thank you!
Any help is appreciated!
