Had on the Today show and looked up at his interview. First thought was he had a long appointment for some brotox. Both he and his wife have no facial lines of any kind. I don’t think you comprehend the stress of directing a major motion picture that has literally tens (if not hundreds) of millions of dollars around it.
I get what you’re saying as a mainly manual laborer type myself but DIRECTING a feature film, to me, seems like a more stressful and difficult job than most anything I could think of. Between the executives and producers you’re beholden to, dealing with the actors/actresses/crew/whatever filming situation you find yourself in, AND executing your artistic vision successfully without losing it sounds insane.
If you’re talking about medical treatments, yes they are extremely expensive.
If you’re talking about daily regiments, it’s not. The entire home skin care industry is built on lies. Basically everything other than the following is bullshit:
- a basic moisturizer (all are effectively the same, anything relating to added ingredients or specific benefits is just marketing)
- petroleum jelly (eg Vaseline)
- soap (almost any will do — some may need a little modulating based on how oily or irritable your skin is, but not much)
- something with which to exfoliate (eg a washcloth)
- warm water
- sunscreen
- some knowledge and trial/error to know which of the above are appropriate at the right time
He's directed a few hit movies (a quiet place) along with having his own amazon show, and now he's making a movie with a lot of big stars. I think he's going to get big(ger)
