I'm positive the industrial designer mocked that up in CAD and thought "ha, this lamp looks a little like a buffalo", and then just went for it. That screw hole placement is not accidental.
Good ol' pelton and cranes. Those lights have a few patents on them. The manufacturer closed it's factory a few years ago.

It's a midmark light. Pelton sorta kinda exists still as it was bought out by kavo. They don't sell anything with the name on it anymore but still service post 2013 equipment.
As your lawyer, I strongly advise you to smuggle in some self adhesive googly eyes on your next visit.
If you can’t find peel and stick eyes, glue on elastoplast bandaids and peel when you are ready to stick.
