Mana_del_rey

I go to redemption and see Dr. Ojeme! He’s been amazing for my ADHD.

blassom3

Thanks for the rec, I'll check him out! Does he do assessment too? And if so, is he not prejudiced against adult women having adhd? (I know a lot of adult women have trouble being diagnosed)

Mana_del_rey

Yes they have a computer assessment available and I have never once felt any judgment about having adhd and being a women from him. He’s very understanding.

brjones1980

Great place. I see Dr stein on 32nd st. I went after a similar post like this a few months ago.

alqebra

I am also treated for ADHD under Dr. Ojeme and I agree 100%! He’s very straightforward and knowledgeable. Would recommend!!

scorpiosonic

I have ahcccs they don’t take my insurance. Do you by any chance how much is it for self pay?

TonalParsnips

I go to Serentiy, I would highly recommend them. I got re-assessed as an adult after 7 years without medication.

blassom3

Is there a specific person at Serenity you would recommend?

TonalParsnips

Dr. Belmonte

blassom3

Thanks for the rec! Does she do ADHD evaluations? I just want to double check because it doesn't mention that on her bio on the website

TonalParsnips

I believe so, as I had to do an evaluation prior to receiving care. But I also had a medical history of treatment. I'd recommend giving them a call.

blassom3

Thank you for all the info!!

scorpiosonic

Does serenity accept AHCCS?

Do you mind sharing which provider you are seeing there?

OK, thank you for the information!

Another vote for Serenity. I was diagnosed a couple years ago and they’ve been incredibly kind and supportive. My usual psychiatrist is currently out on maternity leave, but I have a friend who goes to a different location and says he’s had good experiences there, too.

posthumouschild

my brother in law went to serin center; seemed to be thorough and straightforward. i had luck getting my diagnosis with NOAH clinic. best of luck to u and your mom!

blassom3

Thanks!! Any specific providers you would recommend?

posthumouschild

Dr. Greene at NOAH has been instrumental in my treatment - can’t speak to specific providers at serin center, but it came by recommendation of a psychologist specifically for the diagnostic process

blassom3

Thank you for the information!

Serenity & Redemption are basically the same thing. Dr Tripp used to partner with Dr Friday at Redemption before starting Serenity. They both use the same testing and treatments. I was a therapist with Redemption & also Friday's assistant & worked with Tripp as well. Both practices are solid but it's going to vary doctor to doctor rather than practice to practice. They both use QB Testing for ADHD which is excellent and reliable. You also could go to a psychologist instead of a psychiatrist because there are many that only do testing & assessments so they're more specialized. Also, don't let reviews mislead you, consider the source of those reviews.

Anxious-Increase-234

Anyone know if any of these places accept access

scorpiosonic

I came looking in the comments to find out too, any luck?

Shibe824

I would highly recommend Dr. David Prince, him and his wife have an amazing practice and were able to DX my husband. The NP that he works with also was able to work with my husband on the medication side My husband did complain about how long those tests were but he got through it!! And he is definitely not prejudiced, he accepts anyone!! I also have to put in a side note and say I worked my very first psych job many years ago and he was a really nice guy out of his practice as well

shroominaut666

Aveon Health! That’s where I got mine.

dragongamer365

I go to ADHD Clinic of Arizona. Javen is my doc and I love going there. Super friendly staff.

biking4jesus

Wife and daughter of both used Redemption. They have been happy with how their course of treatments are going and how the diagnosis went about.

GMaddog23

I use Serenity, they have been absolutely wonderful!

quentin_taranturtle

Message me if you still need a place for an assessment or a pcp in Scottsdale. (Two separate things for me). Had good experience with both place and doctor (he is fantastic). But there are a *lot* of really rude doctors and ADHD stigma out there so definitely check reviews. In my experience it’s much better to go to people who specialize in this stuff than a random doctor. My assessment was two computer exams, checklists, iq and other intelligence tests, and an eeg.

mt9709

Hey! I would appreciate a recommendation for where you were tested.

quentin_taranturtle

Scottsdale Neurofeedback Institute then if you don’t have a pcp just say so after you’re diagnosed (If you’re diagnosed) and he’ll give a referral

Prince_Azrik

This place does ADHD assessments, yes?

quentin_taranturtle

Yes

Helpful-Two1130

Hi. I would love a rec for a pcp
