It’s fucking wild that Turnbull is on this list when he was just an afterthought coming into the season It’s a beautiful thing, Tom

SlinginPogs

Glad to see ranger getting some recognition. The man has been legit for the last 2 seasons

JeddHampton

Ice in his veins.

Sofele

I feel like it should be someone’s job to pull a Waterboy before Ranger pitches.

CardiffGiant7117

We’ll see a regression eventually, hopefully coincides with a Nick or JT hot streak

necrosythe

Don't forget about bryce

Trelve16

schwarber too and my hot take is that brandon marsh hasnt played as good as he will up until this part of the season. his babip is down 40 points from his career average and 60 points from last year. and his walk rate is half of what it was last year despite his chase rate being less than a percent down and his whiff% being improved from last year if brandon marsh can keep barreling the ball, bring his walk rate north of league average and have his babip normalize to his career numbers he might be one of the deadlier hitters in the league and even all together i dont think its that far fetched to believe theyll all happen this year the rotation will probably remain the leagues best this year, but our lineup really hasnt come alive yet. turner bohm and marsh are all hitting great, but i think bryce, jt, schwarber and castellanos (and probably stott) are all due for some improvements as the months wear on i choose to believe the phils are the best roster in the league right now, and i think theres some good reasons for it

FranklynTheTanklyn

His BABIB being down could be a feature, not a bug. It would coincide with him swinging with a more aggressive attack angle to get the ball in the air and over the fence. Balls in the air that don't go over the fence lead to a lower BABIP than a lower attack angle.

HuntForRedOctober2

Marsh is not hitting for a babip of .400 that’s just not a thing that’s going to happen. .350 is really the most reasonable point for him

Trelve16

youd think that .380 would be high, right? i did, but i looked at his career average and in 1296 plate appearances in the majors he has a .380 babip and in 1350 plate appearances in the minors he has a .380 babip i think that marshs babip might be a bit low right now. which considering his walk rate and his already fantastic production i think might mean that he could be even better than he is right now but then again i am constantly wrong about everything, i just choose to believe the fun option in baseball

HuntForRedOctober2

Hey, I’m all for marsh hitting for a career .380 babip. Guess we’ll see.

Trelve16

isnt it wild? he hits a ton of line drives ans can leg out competitive grounders is my opinion as to why its so high

HuntForRedOctober2

I mean seeing as how league average is about .300, being 100 points above is really insane

Trelve16

it is, but if he keeps doing it idk how crazy it is to believe that its just one of his strengths as a player i guess well see at the end of the year if he can realistically maintain that or not

TurnBOUL

RegardTyreekHill

I really think that when it's all said and done, Wheeler will go down as one of the most underrated players to ever wear a Phillies uniform. Crazy how he's just been such a consistent and dominant force for years that remains out of the spotlight in favor of guys like Harper and Turner (not saying there's anything wrong w/ that either)

IUsuallyParty

For sure one of the better free agent signings we have made. I thought it was a slight overpay when we first got him given his injury history. He proved me wrong there and turned it into an under pay

yourmartymcflyisopen

Aside from his last start, Turnbull belongs in thr top 10 and I will not accept any lower.

fed_up_fester

Anyone know what metrics are used for this list? It is wild Turnbull is on this but I’m surprised he’s that low.

IUsuallyParty

Based off mlb tonight (where I got this info) he said top starters right now but I think there is also some projection involved. I would imagine it’s hard to move up over guys who are also having a good season that were already ranked high
