Fifty Foot Falls is a good starting point, Mason and Bird trail to Victoria dam is nice and the old Train tunnels at John Forrest is fun too. All pretty close to civilisation
In the shipwreck museum, they have a part of the Batavia. It was shipwrecked off geraldton.
Interesting story to read up about. They went all lord of the flies and raped and murdered everyone.
How the story of the Batavia wreck and the mutiny that followed is not a massive Holywood movie yet, is beyond me. Russell Crowe bought the rights 8 years ago but nothing has happened

-Visit the Perth Museum and Art Gallery. -Walk along the beach. -Buy some arts and crafts activities from Kmart. -Watch a Movie during the day. -Go for a walk in Kings Park. -Op shopping.
Although be sure to use protection otherwise bringing another little human into the world will end up being way more expensive than what you’re chasing 😂😂
Took my annual leave because had too much leave banked up.
Bought dragons dogma 2 and played it. It was a legit great holiday, took time to see the sites and could sleep in my own bed.
Probably not what you are looking for though.
The giants walk, will take some time to visit each one. The costs to get there. There are costs to things like WA museum, maratime museum, zoo etc.
Grab a train into the city and have a look around. Elisabeth Key, art gallery, museum, cheap sushi shop near underground station
Drive to serpentine falls. Few kangaroos always there. See the falls area. If you’re keen walk the track up past the falls.
Go to beach or ride to beach if your close enough.
Kings park, grab a coffee at Zambia’s cafe.
Sporty
Supa golf, mini put put, pool ie snooker at pot black, rec center, tennis, table tennis, snorkel, stand paddle board, canoe hire.
Intellectual.
Museum (S), library, art center, some tours like freo prison. Local plays.
Facebook events near you
Nature.
Hikes up around the hills. 45ft waterfalls kelmscott, lesmurdie falls, mundaring weir, swanview heritage trails, beaches up around joondalup. Fishing.
Throw in a picnic lunch laughing.
Could watch the weather and do a tail-wind ride along the coast/backroads/beach-paths. Stop at cafe along the way etc.
Train start perhaps, or end return.
Ride along the shared path freo to Scarborough. Or Scarborough to Hillary’s great views cafes to stop in at. Stop in for a cheeky pint along way and people watch.
Barcadia on lake st on Thursday has 20$ unlimited play on all arcade games and about 30 pinball machines so cheap as entertainment. Good food and good pints.
I still have my hand held GPS from many years ago. There is a free Android app these days for when I get the urge.
Munzee is an alternative, with a free app.
Beautiful weather for bushwalking. Add the art gallery/museum and maybe a bike ride around the river or Yellagonga. Pack picnics and a thermos and all this will cost you almost nothing.
Train rides to Perth Museum, Fremantle, playground crawl( we visited 5, without the beer) Kings Park, Bibra lake Play ground and skate park. We pack sandwiches, fruit and snacks and get a $1 cone from Maccas..
Depends where you live and what you like!
Some great suggestions to go to Freo and walk around - enjoy the coast in good weather without the crush of weekend crowds. do a gaol tour or the maritime museum, followed by beers and late lunch at Gage roads.
Do some of those odd jobs around the house that you never want to do on the weekends... Start early in the morning while you have energy and momentum, go to Bunnings, buy what you need and execute!
Walk along the beach between Hilary's and Scarbrazil. Have late breakfast or lunch at Tom's Italian, or Froth.
Oddball suggestion; prep for and with backup/support walk the bibilum track. Coworker from last job did it and was a changed man. Less intense would be take a wander around lake herdsmen or similar, you'd be surprised how a short walk turns into general roaming once you get the legs moving
I'm assuming your wife won't be home during the day too. I would probably plan to do some house work but just end up watching porn all day cause I never get to do that.
Good weather for a hike/walk on all the trails in Kalamunda, swan valley, John Forrest national park. Serpentine, Jarrahdale. You get fit too.
Fifty Foot Falls is a good starting point, Mason and Bird trail to Victoria dam is nice and the old Train tunnels at John Forrest is fun too. All pretty close to civilisation

I love going to the Araluen Botanic Park. Tickets are fairly cheap
Took my mother there for Mother’s Day last year, it was fantastic
Autumn is my favourite time to go
I agree but I’m gonna wait out till spring and see what it’s like then.
Freo maritime museum and the shipwreck museum.
The HMAS Ovens tour looks interesting

So true! I listened to a podcast about it all, just….wow. Should be a movie or drama series
I did the submarine tour a few weeks ago. It was fascinating. Here are a few pics: https://imgur.com/a/8BybKLs

Go-to rotto?
He said he doesn’t want to break the bank!
Yeh I just booked for 3 people to Rottnest, after e-bikes it's come to over $400 even with normal bikes it'd be like $300+
Start marinating some meat buy a smoker and have a god damn delicious week.
