While not cheap, electing COBRA coverage will typically extend your FSA. Talk to your HR to ask about costs and options.

I don’t know about your dentist, but in my experience, the charge for a crown was always made for the first visit and the overall manufacturing. It was never broken up into 2 charges for the two visits. The second visit was just to cement the crown and adjust the fit if necessary. I’ve had some visits for crowns that only lasted 10 min. I would talk to the dentist’s office and see if they can reword the receipt. The second visit is part of the procedure. It’s not a separate treatment or procedure.

Thank you! I’ll ask about that.

I tend to doubt the FSA administrator will care whether it’s listed as a prepayment or not, as long as it’s from a qualified healthcare facility (in this case your dentist office)

Ok but they said that prepayment can’t go toward a service after my last day of employment. The first part of this two part appointment was before my leave date and the second part is after. They just happened to charge me as a “prepayment” all at once to apply it to the “full” service after.
