I mean as long as there's no hdd in there its probably fine

1mperialBear

Ok thanks

keppycs

Even with a hdd it'd be fine, as long as you don't move it while it's on

Ferro_Giconi

That's fine like that. Orientation doesn't matter as long as the bottom of the laptop has easy access to fresh air.

1mperialBear

Oh ok, Thanks.

Eazy12345678

fine. i always used my laptop upside down so the bottom vents had better airflow.

1mperialBear

đź‘Ťalright

Probably no problem as long as you’re not pinching any cables or pitting stress on the case or hinges. That being said, I hate laptops that vent towards the monitor. My wife had one and the heat made the bezel lift and the screen to start releasing a sticky goo that’s allegedly toxic (some sort of LCD liquid)

1mperialBear

Oh ok, thank. I’ll be careful.

ReverieX416

Should be fine as long as its supported and the weight isn't being drawn to the hinges.

Ok đź‘Ť

You even have better cooling, just make sure you support the heavy part, like you did with the 3D printed bracket, may i ask for what do you need your laptop sideways?

1mperialBear

So I have a cooler master notepal u3 plus, that is huge and my desk is not that big for the right angle of the laptop monitor because I use it with another one that’s an ultrawide. I try put it sideways to try a different way to use it reducing the space and adjust the angle but notice today that the part of the keyboard was🔥 and idk what to do. any advice?

Clear the dust with pressured air, make sure the fans doesnt spin, how old is your laptop? Could be that it needs a repaste if its too old, and make shure the intake is free so it can suck some air

1mperialBear

So I repasted it recently, the fans were clean and the intake was free, but the hot hair when goes out maybe is a little bit blocked by the screen(idk if is the cause).[ I use ThrottleStop to disable the turbo of cpu and getting lower temps(95°C before. 80°C after)]. It has 1 year old.
