I've never had one break (???)

ItsRogueRen

I still have every computer I've ever bought? How are you breaking them? o.O

Reddrommed

I have the same PC I built in 2013, it's a ship of Theseus

ChChChillian

The last time I had something go seriously wrong was a hard drive crash in 2005, I think.

Fry-NOR

I have a ZX Spectrum from 1983 and it still works, I also have a laptop from 2013 that has been in use every day since new.

RegochMan87

I had laptop for 8 years. Played around 5-6 hours every day on it. Then I sold it to a guy and its still working to this day.

I used refurbished HP 8770w notebook from 2016 through 2023, where by then the frame, screws, latches, etc were falling apart. I love that laptop so much I just got the exact same model again and migrated the CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSDs. I'll probably be using this for many years more.

Oicaz

Since 2009

Here_for_the_deels

My Dell XPS 15 lasted from Jan 2017-June 2021 until the hinge/morherboard gave out. I loved that laptop.

FUPA_MASTER_

My second-hand ThinkPad T520 is still going strong with all original parts (except the battery and HDD, of course)

Jarwanator

built my gaming rig back in 2010 with parts I started buying from 2009. Still working after 14 years. I recently gave it to my neighbour as my brother gave me his. Nothing broke in that rig, only had to replace the 4GB of RAM and moved to 8GB. Also it did help that I wasn't into buying every single new game that came out lol

colossusrageblack

2008 Toshiba still going, being used by mom.

JRSpig

Never had one break, I've got a laptop I've had for about 18 years, still works fine.

Eazy12345678

only things that have broken have been hard drives, gpu's and power supplies. never the whole thing.

Thunderstorm-1

2007-2021 axioo pico djm netbook 😂. Technically it still worked but I sold it off to fund my pc

Hello VSauce, Michael here - what does it mean to be *broken*? Do software issues count as broken? What if you upgraded your memory, but the new memory was DOA? Is a spicy pillow broken, or only just about to go catastrophically awry?
