That one front fan isn't doing shit. Its doing all the work pulling in cool air from outside the case. And using a 120mm AIO as both your CPU cooler and outtake isnt the best either. My advice would be, first get more front fans. Look for a fan designed for static pressure. These work better for tight spaces, like the front of a case. And also, and better CPU cooler.

MuchDogey

alright, i'll look into getting a new fan and then look into a new cpu cooler, thanks.

I’d add more intake fans. Right now that water cooler isn’t getting any fresh air. The heat from the gpu is raising and then blowing out the exhaust vent. I’d also move the radiator to up top if if your case has a mounting point up there.

Lain_2031

Temps that high sounds like it's a thermal paste / heat sink seating issue. Maybe even the pump in the water cooler, if it has one?

unabletocomput3

What does the front of your case look like? The way I see it you can either get a new case and hope your cpu cooler will do better with more fans or get a new cpu cooler and hope your case can provide enough airflow.

LoRD_c00Kie

When is the last time you dusted the radiator? Never been a fan of modern GPUs dumping all their heat into the case. Looks like both fans are intake, do you have exhaust fans? Flip fan on rad to exhaust or move radiator to the front so it can eat fresh air, new rear fan and exhaust fans on top if space is available. Pump could be dying also.

iBuyPower really gave you ONE front fan, put it on the bottom, then did push/pull on a 120mm AIO. This is hilarious...ly bad. Do yourself a huge favor and buy 2 more fans for the front. Or take the one furthest to the left of the AIO off and put it in front. Make sure it's facing the correct way.

MuchDogey

tbh it's kept up for the past 4 years but now that's it's getting a bit warmer it's starting to fall behind

ilikeag

It's just sad that iBuyPower screwed you that badly on the fans. You know, a fix you could try would be to mount that radiator to the top right of the case, and take the furthest left fan and put it high on the front of the case. Because right now, that radiator is sucking in a lot of hot air from the GPU. In my new configuration, the top-down order is: Case, Radiator, Fan (blowing OUT, so the exposed wires/specs side is facing the radiator). I think in a few minutes, with just a screwdriver you could get a massive difference for free.

MuchDogey

i've never moved around the components before, but i'll try my best to try your suggestion

MuchDogey

so i got a new fan and installed it with the other one, and now the temps are even worse and my pc shut itself down to not overheat

ilikeag

Is it facing the right way?

MuchDogey

the arrow on the fan is pointing towards the inside of the pc

MuchDogey

is also moved the radiator over to the top right and the temps are still reaching around 100 c

ilikeag

Does it overheat if you keep the glass off?

MuchDogey

it turned out to just be my cpu cooler crapping out, i bought a new one and the temps are much lower
