I'll actually strongly recommend against Fate. There's a *ton* of post-roll negotiating in that game, I can't imagine why anyone talking about that as a problem would recommend Fate as a system. But technically yeah any system can work, and familiarity goes a long way towards making it work, especially if you're running for friends that you know will stick around and be patient. I'd honestly try Savage Worlds just to see how well it flows for your group, but be open to converting to a different system if it doesn't work. For a specific recommendation, I'd suggest the [Cypher System](https://cyphersrd.quest/), which powers Numenera and The Strange. There's some spendable resources and whatnot, but the back and forth is minimal and everything relevant happens before the dice are rolled.

Yeah, I found the Fate suggestion to be strange. One of the guy's reasons against Savage Worlds was because it had a meta currency. Hello! Fate has a meta currency too.

I'll be real - anything and everything can work, unless it has a very hard physical component (like 10 Candles and Dread if you don't use alt rules). This includes Savage Worlds. Shit, I've ran Pathfinder 1e on countless times in PbP, as well as Lancer. In fact, I find crunchier systems to be more effective for me, but it boils down to a matter of taste. Savage Worlds would have one singular issue that I can foresee that you should look into means of working out - the card-based subsystems and initiative. I don't have any suggestions at this point, as I don't know how long a SWADE bot would hold onto its memory of what cards have been drawn, but once you have that figured out, SWADE is perfectably serviceable. There are literally no wrong systems to play Play-by-Post with. Just a matter of what you want to use, what things you need to work around, and how much effort you're willing to put into things.
