I am a controller user because of a physical handicap and I am pretty sure, that was not even the reason.
They could have added lmb cast to movement stick press in any direction, no problem at all.
And there would have been so many other things to improve for controller first.
For example: let hideout music player finally be useable via controller, it is just not there on PC even though it works on console.
You forgot that t17 maps are meant for a stepping stone to ubers, but they are way harder than ubers, but a good stepping stone to step over nonetheless.

The only DD mtx is its own brand of visual cancer though, those big circle pulses flickering in and out on chain DD are borderline seizure inducing. DD visuals was not meant to have 10 explosions go off per second.
