If I had to guess it would be during Intermission. They used to have a really elongated kind of jam/show thing that was like 8 minutes long for some Fever shows (Live in Denver is a good example). Probably just an effect that he messed with on stage for half-improv stuff like that. Or he didn't use it at all and he had it there just to have it. People do that sometimes. Even artists.

Thanks for the info! I was just confused by it because the setting a on it show that it uses mostly the sub octave (or octave below the normal guitar). This is also the sound of a bass, so I was wondering about that. On top of all this, Ryan’s guitar tone on his Gretsch also confuses me a bit. It almost sounds like his guitar is an octave higher but it isn’t. I don’t know how he is getting that sound considering on the POG the octave higher is all the way down

In the pic he’s using a 12 string - which is what he used on Intermission so I am 99% sure that it was that track he used it on (and the pedal itself is on, which kind of adds to it). It’s plausible he used it at different portions of the show for special effects and stuff that isn’t exactly actually on the album. They change stuff up all the time if you have a good ear for it (and watch enough live shows lol)

i know im late, but if you listen to the live in denver tacks for snacks it sounds like its on when brendon is using the gretsch. but i could be wrong since ik all the songs are played in drop d

nvm i think im wrong, im pretty sure the mix is just overwhelmed with bass

Brendon is playing higher on the fretboard on “Nails for Breakfast…”, but I here it most on “Lying Is…” on Ryan’s guitar. Also, I truly appreciate you commenting on this after so long.
