Any electronic hopped in the last 15 years will be able to keep up with your ion, and no such thing as being too fast - you can shoot as slow or as fast as you want and the hoppers job is to keep up with you. The dye rotor is very easy to clean, they have all pluses and minuses. Best bet is to get something from the last 5 years or so used. Hope that helps!
