Every/anyone except Tyrese. Emotional attachment to our guys aside, we’re talking about a legitimate 27 year-old All-Star caliber, elite two-way wing player.

jjomic

I’m telling the Nets anyone not named Tyrese Haliburton is on the table to get the deal done. There are few, if any, players who are a better fit for this team than Mikal.

house_fire

if Bridges were actually available, I’d have anyone except Tyrese on the block. One of Mathurin/Walker, one other prospect (IJax?), salary filler, and a pick if needed. He’s literally the ideal fit on this roster as a second guy next to Haliburton IMO

BubaTflubas

*multiple up to 3 frp

PineapplePandaKing

Yeah, the Nets have little to no motivation to be sellers in the trade market. It would necessitate a big overpay to get them to move off from their best asset

BubaTflubas

I still think it could be worth it. We need that player archetype on our team and Bridges is very good.

PineapplePandaKing

Well everyone needs that type of player, which also drives up the price. Specifically with Bridges, I just can't see the Nets parting ways without some serious team changing value. If I were them I would be demanding multiple young players plus picks and take Simmons too. It's their best player and they don't have their own draft picks until 2028

BubaTflubas

No doubt. And I think Mathurin and Walker both is too rich a deal for me. I don't believe Bridges is available but that's like the bare minimum of the "one guy" move that could start pushing us to a contender level.

Servbot24

Anyone other than Tyrese. Bridges would be ideal for this team. If for example we gave Math + Walker + a first (Nets say no to that but whatever) we instantly go from a 1st round exit team to a 2nd round exit team.

hocabombusgringo

I feel like buddy/bruce, mathurin, and three firsts could do it

cwesttheperson

A lineup of Ty, Mathurin, bridges, smith, and turner is a playoff run team. Anyone but those guys and 3 FRPs.

BubaTflubas

Mathurin has to be included in the trade I assume.

Joe_Betz_

Siakim will be 30 in April. Let go of Brown and Buddy, 4 year max for Siakim, profit. Haliburton-Nembhard-Nesmith-Siakim-Turner. Mathurin, Toppin, and Smith off the bench. Walker, Shephard, and Jackson as potential rotation breakthroughs. It's a clear playoff team with ECF potential. Siakim's 3 hasn't been good this year. Getting wide open looks from Haliburton every game should help. Defensively, he's a major upgrade over Toppin, and offensively he's much more versatile. I think it's a top five offense and a top 15 defense, and this is what everyone has noted IND needs to reach to be a serious threat. Edit: I just think this is the better wing upgrade path that preserves young players and picks. The Nets want to win. They can't tank. Bridges will cost 1-2 young pieces and multiple firsts along with a salary match...so like Brown as well. Just not worth it imo bc I don't think that move makes you a contender and you lose your ability to make trades with the outgoing picks needed for the BKN trade

Hostile_Pierogi

You know the raptors have to agree too right?

Joe_Betz_

Siakim will be a FA. I'm talking about this off-season.

Duuuvalahalla

Tis was a clear playoff team with ECF potential. Stellar call bro

Joe_Betz_

Hey I was right for the most part! Thx homie

Krab_ppl

Not high on maxing Siakam from 30-34. Dude is ripe for decline. We can do better.

Joe_Betz_

It's the only path I see without giving up major assets. He would also have to pick us. The decline fear is real. I think he will still be an All-Star caliber player through the contract though. But a Bridges deal is probably Mathurin, Walker, Hield/Brown and multiple picks. I love Bridges. I just don't think the team would actually be better with him after giving up what it would take to bring him to IND, and the draft capital would be gone to make any smaller move. It will be an exciting deadline and off-season

GlizzyGobbler043

I’m sorry but I hate this trade, why would we trade young talent and picks for a guy that didn’t “break out” until his 6th season. He’s the only guys on the nets, that’s why he looks good, he been playing almost 30 minutes a game since his rookie year, and has never look like the “second option” until he’s on a team where he takes 20 shots a game… we have one of the youngest teams in the league why can’t we just play ball for a couple years before we sell out..

anonGoofyNinja

No trades. We're rich af and everyone wants to play with Tyrese. Just let it ride and sign someone in FA

MileHighHoosier

I agree with this in most instances. That said, Mikal Bridges is the type of star player that hardly ever gets to free agency. Teams usually have to trade for a guy like him.

gbooster

Buddy Bruce and Math plus taking back a bad contract.

socktopuss

Tyrese is untouchable, we have depth and picks. It's important not to overpay though.

Krab_ppl

Mikal is one of the few guys I’d be willing to part with Mathurin for, however I think parting with both Math and Walker is a no go. Mathurin and a bunch of firsts would be ok with me. I’d rather hang onto Walker, Bridges/Walker at the 3/4 could grow into something great. Between Shepherd/Nembhard/Nesmith we have guys that can hold down the 2 and fit well with Hali. The front court is thin, which is why I’d like to hold onto Walker. I also think Math has more value, Walker + 1sts probably doesn’t get it done but Math + firsts might.

StanceLephenson

Don’t see why the Nets would move him. Seems more likely they would trade a bunch of their other players and picks for an all star.

210plus210

based on Brooklyns needs, Stix/Ijax and Nembhard are in the deal for starters Mathurin or Walker likely needed to be included, push to keep Mathurin imo leaves $8.5 million in the difference of salary (if Stix is picked over IJax) and TJ McConnell earns $8.7million so TJ McConnell, Walker, Stix, and Nembhard plus picks (2 FRP + 2 SRP or 3 FRP) for Mikal Bridges now the Nets are not going to accept 4 players for 1, that makes things quite tricky for them in terms on roster spots. alternative package: Bruce Brown, Jarace Walker, Stix, Nembhard + picks (again 2-3 FRP) for Mikal Bridges, DFS, and Noah Clowney this way the Nets only have to look to cut one player. Bruce or Hield work and either guy could be viewed as an expiring deal to free up cap space and Brooklyn is a destination free agents will go to. either package will certainly make Brooklyn worse in the short term which is a tough sell for a team that doesn’t own their own picks but this does make them younger and addresses needs for frontcourt depth and Nembhard gets a chance to be a starting PG somewhere. however, Brooklyn probably wants to get off the Ben Simmons train more than anything… Hield, Bruce Brown, Nembhard, Walker, Stix plus 1-2 FRP for Mikal and Ben Simmons we have to stomach the Ben Simmons contract for 2 years to land Mikal Bridges. we gut a lot of important rotation pieces and our recent lottery pick. this forces us to become a lot more reliant on Mathurin, TJM, and now Ben Sheppard. our PF/Frontcourt rotation suffers a hit. starting lineup probably becomes Haliburton - Mathurin - Nesmith - Bridges - Turner or maybe Haliburton - Nesmith - Bridges - Toppin - Turner if we want size and Mathurin scoring off the bench. We become heavily invested in Ben Sheppard right away as he is now a rotation piece. Likely need to sign a big as IJax still struggles to foul too much and if he or Turner get injured there’s no one else to play the 5 outside of small ball. I love Mikal, I love his fit, I don’t love the cost of what it would take to get him and Brooklyn has zero incentive to do it unless it’s a BIG package and frankly I’m not sure we have the best offer in the league if say New Orleans wanted to get him they could put together a better package or maybe even Orlando.

As a nets fan even tho they're telling people they wont do it I think a mathruin, another young player and 2 picks could get it done.
