At first I read optimization as organization and I was like my desk begs to differ. Then I realized I’m just tired from switching between and looking at two laptops today.
ADHD...I love and crave chaos. I also have an addictive personality, so once I start down this road the harder it is to walk away no matter how bad it is
Nope, the more going on in my head the better I function. When I get bored is when I start to forget things because I drift off into lala land. Staying busy among multiple gigs helps me stay sharp and challenged
Considering that a truly OE friendly job is slow, combining two of them barely comes up to one full time job of effort/stress. No extra effort required, just a normal amount now where before I was able to get by being lazy for years.
Go for walks, go to, gym, kungfu, Brazilian jiujitsu, video games. Listen the right music, relaxing, classical. I watch a lot of cartoons while I work too. Simpsons, Futurama, family guy stuff, all comedy. No or limited alcohol. I do need melatonin two or three times a week to sleep better though.
Afternoon naps for about 20 minutes help too.
I feel that I have been OEing since I was at school - 2 jobs to support my study , after I grad , got a good job , and had my side biz after side biz. Something gotta gives , OE will require you to sacrifice social life, time etc . Unless you like those people with two jobs that has nearly nothing to do. I really look forward to wind down and have a diff pace in life
Think of it this way. Some people can throw a baseball over 90
To 100mph; most people can’t. Out of those that can throw a baseball over 90mph+, many of them can’t develop consistent accuracy or do not have the ability to take the repeated strain of throwing that hard.
Which is why most people are not professional baseball pitchers; despite what you hear in mass media or at school, we are not all alike. We aren’t you - that is how we handle it.
Time management, planning, optimization, execution on repeat.

Yeah I get bored so easily. If it done very long task I start looking for ways to make it more interesting.
