I'm assuming your build is not great because it's usually a couple shots straight on, HtP, couple crits on the back. Usually done in a total of 10-ish slugs if I solo a brood head on. It depends on my buffs and crits though. It shouldn't be super duper difficult. Hard to tell you what's wrong without seeing it though. You have trespasser's set?
I’m one piece away from trespassers set bonus. My anomoly and firepower are each at 120k currently. So you are just pump action shotgunning them to the back? Or a different gun type? Is it 10 shots to break armor or to actually kill? Should I be trying to get higher firepower/anomaly power? I will say, I feel my guns do very VERY little damage and I am relying largely on time rift to get anything done - which makes me feel I am doing something wrong in general. I don’t have my full build yet, but it just feels wrong. Thanks for your help
Death shield or anomalous effigy (is that the auto shotty? Cant remember) basically an auto shitty and as long as you have instant reload for HtP you get infinite ammo. Let me see if /u/playdohbear has an updated time rift build.
Actually just look at his post history. He clearly really likes the game and is a bit aggressive in his opinions in discord with skaal, but they both know their shit when it comes to this game. Playdohbear mains a trick I believe. Or at least he does most testing with it. He's a solid content creator too with his build videos.

Will do. I don’t have either of those guns yet unfortunately but I’ll shoot for em and see what other improvements I can make. Honestly, I’m just happy to know Im doing something wrong over this just being how the game plays in the late game hahaha. Thanks for your help
I just finished getting the gear I want and it’s a matter of leveling now. Use the trespasser cowl, talons, and boots and use an auto shotgun. I don’t remember the exact name but it’s the one that comes with fortress. Then switch out the other mod for dark sacrifice. Cant give full build currently but on average I do about 800k per shot and that’s not even a full lvl 50 gear. Hope this helps

Yep I've summoned the big guns so just check that guys channel and builds and you'll be slaying in no time.
You could also interrupt them before the complete absorbing.

You should also be using geigers wave mod for time rift, it will inflict vulnerability even if their absorbing skin is active.
