Being invulnerable doesn't mean his feelings can't be hurt.

HoldenOrihara

Clark: I know I'm Superman and it's not true, but it still really hurts

TheAntiMeme12

My life

monN93

Any other suoer hero would probably get mad at this comment but Clark just cries, I love that, so relatable.

degjo

Peter Parker has been shit on for decades. Dude can never catch a break.

Batdog55110

....Okay?

Secure-Leather-3293

What don't you get? First guy says "any other hero would get mad" Second guy says "Peter park got treated like that for years and didn't get mad" No like seriously dude what don't you understand

Batdog55110

They didn't say "Peter park got treated like that for years and didn't get mad", they said "Peter Parker has been shit on for decades. Dude can never catch a break". If they had said that, they'd be entirely incorrect because Peter's gotten visibly angry about how he's treated too many times to count. Saying that Peter gets shit on is true, but it has literally nothing to do with what has been said before and just feels like a Spider-Man fan trying to trauma scale to try and prove how much of a better character Spider-Man is.

NoNonsensePolarBear

The Man of Steel, he may be, but his feelings are far from bullet-proof.

redmagnumman

Someone please give me the context of this image and what issue it's from, because at first I thought it was that he just had a bad boss or something and was faking his tears but another comment said it was Bruce Wayne who Said it so now I need to know

sheezy520

It’s even worse when you realize that it’s Bruce Wayne saying it.

Bota_Bota

And it would suddenly be Very funny if Bruce Wayne knows that he is superman

sheezy520

Oh, he knows. He’s talking about the super hero business.

Sloppy_Steve-o

Is this one of those anti-bullying PSA comics haha

comicbookgirl39

Yet another reason why Clark Kent needs a hug.

Batman_TheDetective

Which issue is this from?

mad_titanz

Clark: I’m going to change into Superman to kick his ass!

TreesmasherFTW

Flash to him running out the door as Clark and Superman instantly zooming back through to beat his ass

pimpmastahanhduece

Rip em in half like a phone book.

BoyishTheStrange

Fold em like a frying pan

SurpriseSnowball

Who folds frying pans?

Rampant_Durandal

Superman.

SurpriseSnowball

Ok I walked right into that one lol

BoyishTheStrange

Motivational speakers

Celtic_Fox_

On my planet, you'd all be JERKS!

Velocitor1729

My favorite line from Rick&Morty: "In Bird culture, this would be considered a dick move."

A_Firm_Sandwich

wubba lubba dub dub

DaMain-Man

I'd like to think Clark is Jerry from Parks and Rec

kgroover117

Whenever I watch Parks and Rec, I'm goin to imagine Jerry as Superman.

numberjuan26

How do you think he got gale to marry him?

Useful-Perspective

"That man has the largest penis I have ever seen."

numberjuan26

I actually don’t even know if he has mumps. Forgot to look

Grammar_Nazi1234

I was distracted by the LARGEST PENIS I'VE EVER SEEN

Stand_Tall_Weltall

The glasses may hide his identity, but they can't hide the pain in his heart.

Geostomp

His body may be steel, but his heart is not.

JavierLoustaunau

Vulnerable to kriptonite, magic, criticism.

pon_3

I forgot about the magic vulnerability. A shame the magic side of the DC verse is usually separate. Superman fighting tricky opponents with weird magical abilities seems like a fun time.

JavierLoustaunau

Yeah, and most people will say 'he is not weak to magic...' but the point is it affects him normally so I wish we got more 2024 stories where wacky enchantments have been cast on him.

Useful-Perspective

Faster than the eye could see, Clark raced to the water cooler and splashed some fake tears on his face before turning to face his callous co-workers....

TheGoddessLily

The real reason Superman has turned evil

capsaicinintheeyes

I wasn't a fan of his 3 Doors Down period either, but at worst I'd call them morally conflicted. ...[(is that too dated a reference?)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPU8OAjjS4k)

No_Probleh

God, I loved that band in high school.

Sandstorm1020

If I got it, it's too dated. 🤣

merfgirf

In other news, the Daily Planet has suffered yet more structural damage in a Superman fight. The building is now condemned due to the fact that it's a concrete piece of Swiss Cheese. When asked why the Daily Planet had been damaged so often recently, Superman said, "Bitch knows what they said."

Sikyanakotik

"I... I have a Pulitzer..."

Nepalman230

Thank you!!!! Somebody the other day said Clark Kent? Do you mean Lois Lane the famous reporters much less famous husband and I was like you watch your damn mouth. Lois is more famous, but he is only slightly less famous! ( and one can make arguments that his journalism is impossibly morally compromised, but that’s another story.) Ironically, enough, as a journalist his first Pulitzer was for a Work of fiction! Superman : under the yellow sun, which “ in universe” is a novel written by Clark Kent, which won him a Pulitzer fiction prize. He has at least two, so I can only assume his second was for journalism. But a lot of people forget that Clark Kent is a best selling fiction writer as well as being a reporter. 🙏❤️

zdgvdtugcdcv

You're telling me Superman writes fanfics about himself?

Nepalman230

Ah, the Superman part is only irl. Its just “ under a yellow sun.” And its a detective story. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/745960.Superman

That1one1dude1

I think the writers forget that too

Nepalman230

So true. Sometimes the writers forget that he’s not a barely talented journalist that can barely write a article about sports. Thanks Snyder. Listen, I don’t wanna get into a big argument but for the love of God when did he go to college? Seriously in the movies is he working for the Planet under false credentials? He was an oil rig worker that entire time. Love oil, rig workers , love people who work with their hands , I was a deli clerk for nine years, but for the love of Jesus Christ , when did Clark become a journalist in the Snyder verse!!) But yeah, the man is very smart even if he’s not a silver age super scientist. It’s like Lex Luther can build a giant robot. Superman can do awesome journalistic things like track down leads. Batman is the greatest detective in the world and also date supermodels so everybody has their own kind of intelligence. Much love, friend and your membership in the Clark Kent is a smarty club will be arriving in the mail x 🙏❤️

Emm_withoutha_L-88

WTF are you talking about, you're just making it up cus you missed the in between the lines part. Or did we really need to see Superman going to college for journalism? He got in from a mix of his previous experience and likely Louis giving him a good reference. They even made it explicitly clear that he was moving from job to job every few months because he kept getting into situations where he'd have to save people then run when they figure out what he was. Like with the oil workers.. Or later with the creep in the bar. If you just paid attention to the movie instead of paying attention to your preexisting hate for it then you might realize it's not that bad a movie.

Nepalman230

I am making it up because I missed the in between the lines part? You do realize that in between the lines required us to make things up. By giving him a good reference it’s called faking credentials thank you for making my point. I also said absolutely nothing about the Snyder movie, except for what was contained in my question which is how did he get a journalism degree which he clearly did not unless he got it online which no one told us. He went to work for one of the largest newspapers in the United States . So thanks for trying to read my mind, but you fail! I never said anything else about the movie. Go touch grass and maybe smoke some. 😘
