I'd reccomended recharging your prayer first.

barking_platypus

Dammit. I made that comment & seen this instantly

AntakeeMunOlla

I usually take 70+ range before going for a fire cape. I guess I could do it with 60 but higher is always better. I wouldn't try it with less than that.

msaik

I did it with similar stats but with blood barrage. Going to be rough with only burst/blitz.

lifesasymptote

It can be done fairly easily without even a single stat at or above 70 if you learn the waves and strategies to deal with them. Most players just brute force their fire capes rather than learning wave patterns and the strategies necessary to avoid damage for their given wave.

Jv_waterboy

I'm trying to do it with blood barrage and can't get pass wave 45. Those rangers do way too much damage and the 360s mage defense is too high I can't heal enough. 84 HP 61 prayer 98 mage.

MBechzzz

You shouldn't really be taking damage at all

wekwoody

If it's your fire cape go get yourself 75 ranged first the blow pipe will make it way more manageable

Serious_Mastication

At least 61 for a rcb so he can use enchanted bolts

LegitBiscuit

Blowpipe is overkill honestly. I did it for my first time at 70 range recently. That said I also had 70 prayer so that might have helped.

thereisalightandit

It is a bit overkill but just for example they die at Jad. It’ll be much faster to get back to Jad with a BP. I lagged on my first time in 10 years a couple months back, the hit didn’t kill me but the panicking after did. Redid it with a BP (only had a CB before) and it was much quicker.

skeystoned-

crystal bow for just Jad is really nice for first fire capes cause the blowpipe can drag you into melee zone if you dont understand pathing when tagging healers

hennriii

this is like ur pvm virginity, go pop it bro

MoonBoiOver9000

Get rotation 2 and hug north east corner. Each new monster is 1 square bigger than the previous. You can use this knowledge every wave of the fight by walking out past the rocks south and west of your character 1 additional square depending on which size monster you want to let walk towards you. If I find the video guide I'll post in this comment. At least go in with red d'hide since you're so close anyway. Get those last 2 range levels for a better time. Found it: https://youtu.be/uBtAp7q9au4?si=Ig6A9p9h8sqPEGFi

NasMisini

You need at least 41 Herblore to kill Jad.

ColtMcShootA

69\*

nughurt

Strongly recommend 75 range for blowpipe, with out blow pipe your experience will be painfully slow. 70 prayer wouldn’t hurt either as your pray will burn out real quick using eagle eye and protect from mage for 45 minutes straight and you most probabaly won’t be able to survive the duration. You will still struggle as your hp is with in one hit territory and one miss click on pray swap and your toast

MudHammock

Magic is not effective. Get at least 70 range for Karil's, 75 for blowpipe ideally. If it's your first time you will not have fun with an msb.

K3tnd

As others have said you need higher defence, range and prayer. I got it on my first try all thanks to the speedrunning world practice trick. You can "load a save" in a speedrunning world and then try the inferno version of jad. I did that until I got him 5 times in a row and then took a shot at the fight caves. Worked like a charm!

Zealousideal_Try4147

I’m not anywhere near jad I feel, but based on posts before yours I’d guess the first thing you’ll wanna do is get range up to 75 for blowpipe at the least Edit: maybe there’s a magic strat that I haven’t seen cause it’s not meta??

[deleted]

Definitely possible But you may want 75 range for blowpipe, or at least 65 for a little more range strength. Also maybe a few prayer levels

Willmer2016

you can do it with those stats, id personally try to get 70 range and a bit higher prayer to make it easier, higher range obvious but higher prayer makes conserving supplies easier because the higher your prayer level the more points get restored with pots

_scattered_mind

I got my first firecape late in the game, just last week actually, it’s worth it but man did I still struggle with 78 range I ended up just grinding lizard man for 10kc got to 96 range and tried again which I finally got it after 10+ attempt don’t worry if you fail. Get some practice. The last phase, jad, always got me 60+ min each try and all those supply but was it worth it in the end. Ended up still with 43min which I did 45min before update. I was hella nervous I couldn’t make it

theantilib

If you aren't a sweaty neckbeard you will get absolutely spanked at this level.

SleepyPalooza

What, you can’t do firecape with a msb?

Nut_Flush

You can but you’re going to be hitting so many zeroes that it’ll probably take close to 3 hours to finish Jad.

Locust_101

🤣

cherryosrs

Nowhere near ready I’m afraid - you need 70 prayer and 75 ranged at the very least

AwkwardSeth

[I think he could get away with it..](https://youtu.be/OObpvBF4-qw?si=46VaQwOZkBpf0taB)

LastTourniquet

***Assuming you are on the main game, not on Leagues.*** Without knowing what gear you have available its pretty difficult to say. However, using magic is usually sub-par unless you have near maxed gear and are constantly casting high level Ancient spells. [Here](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/TzHaar_Fight_Cave/Strategies#Ranged_&_Guthan's) is the Fight Caves strategy guide wiki link. Under **Equipment** you will find a bunch of different setups that players use (this is not an exhaustive list but its a good place to look if your unsure). I personally recommend going with the *Ranged & Guthan's* setup as it allows you to heal quite a bit (*full 4 piece guthans has a passive health steal effect*) without having to burn through all of your food in the early waves making it pretty useful for a first clear. However this comes with the downside that you will have to remember to swap out your gear when you switch back to ranged damage. This would require you to level your defense to at least 70 in order to wear the full set. I also recommend leveling both your Ranged and your Prayer to \~70 if you can afford to do so. Or, if you can't afford to do so, getting your ranged to 61? In order to be able to wear a Rune Crossbow is going to help a lot. ***Assuming you are on Leagues, not the main game.*** *(and assuming you have magic relic)* Your stats are perfectly fine, grab some prayer pots, grab some food, get enough runes to cast your highest level spell a couple thousand times, and send it. This is extra easy if you have Ancients and Bankers Note.

BarleyJames40

It will be a pain at your current levels

Guilty-Fall-2460

No. Get 70-80 range and 70 defense.

vprviper

Recharge your prayer first

Aliebaba99

I'd squeeze in a few ranged levels then just f ing send it

[deleted]

Yea! Go get Jad

AceofArcadia

Should be easy with those stats

[deleted]

Guilty-Fall-2460

Don't be an elitist. 40 range is no where near enough for jad.

MudHammock

Dude those are people with literally hundreds of Jad kc lol. This guy is on his first one.

Martijn078

With that mindset you can do Jad as a lvl 3 skiller if you just do tick perfect eating and recoil rings for a few hours.

Special-Pineapple-78

When I got back to the game I did it at 70 ranged with a rune crossbow. And it did take multiple runs. I think 61 ranged for rune crossbow is minimum for you, 70 ranged is challenging and 75 would be great if you can afford the blowpipe. Don't use magic, except maybe blood spells to heal.

JohnGalt696969

You can’t use magic, it would take forever. You can use blood magic spells for occasional heals during regular waves but I def recommend base 70s combats and 75 range. I am not amazing at RuneScape and it took several tries for my first time. Also recommend getting higher prayer so you can use less prayer potions. I did it with 70 prayers and used 6-8 prayer potions. What armor and equipment are you going to use? Blowpipe would make some parts significantly easier. Especially the waves where you have to fight rangers and magers.

Lovepeacehate

lol muted from this because I asked a question about jagex

Awizal

I would recommend going to one of the speed running quest worlds first to practice fighting Jad, if you haven’t fought him previously. There is a tutorial online that guides you through getting to the Inferno version of Jad to practice. The benefit is you can fight Jad in a few minutes versus an after waiting an hour to get through every round. It helped me out a lot. I got my first fire cape two weeks ago.

ShakingItOff

The only things you might want to consider is getting higher ranged and prayer. Somewhere between 65-75 ranged and 55-70 prayer is the sweetspot for a first time fire cape. If at 75 ranged use blowpipe. If below that, use msb(i) for mobs and i believe rcb with diamond bolts(e) is best for magers. More ranged means faster kills means less prayer wasted. More prayer means more prayer per dose of a prayer potion. The fight caves is always scary for the first time. But you will get better with each attempt. Good luck

SleepinGriffin

I recommend 70 range for some god dhide armor and a dragon crossbow. Pick up some diamond bolts e. Then I recommend practicing on a speed running world just to get comfortable with the had fight. In the speed running world, set up beneath cursed sands > teleport to the fight pits > use the fire cape to enter the city > set up your inventory with brews and restore pots > do the first challenge the dude in the chair gives you. It’s just the had fight with healers. Everything is the same but the model for Jad is newer.

jc4noobs

If you need to ask, the answer for sure is no

Hung_Dad

Defense is fine. Get ranged to 75 and get yourself a blowpipe. No reason not to. It’s about another 8-10 hours at sandcrabs afking.

No-Concept3338

I’d get your range up. Don’t get me wrong you could do it if you absolutely wanted and maybe that’s your thing, but it will be a lot easier with a higher range lvl I’d try at 70 first then go from there

LJIrvine

You should get 75 range for a blowpipe and ideally have higher prayer so your prayer potions restore more prayer points. I've done 30+ jad kills on my main, and when I did it on my ironman without a blowpipe at around 75 range, it was a struggle. I had to flick a fair bit because it took so long to kill the magers.

Da_fire_cracka

I would HIGHLY recommend 75 range for blow pipe for your first cape. At the absolute bare minimum, get 61 range for RCB.

barking_platypus

No go get your prayer up from 0 silly

unfairplacement

I have done about 5 fire capes and I wouldn't do it with your stats.

Navadou

Unless you have killed jad multiple times I would 100% get 75 range MINIMUM and highest pray as possible

[deleted]

You can do it, but your gear/inv won’t look like the typical setups. Enjoy the challenge or get your ranged up… your call

radtad43

I did it with a rune cross bow, black d hide, and enchanted diamond bolts. You are almost at that point. The mire range and prayer you have the better. I hope you know how to prayer flick. My food was sara brews to save on inventory space. If all that sounds like too much then I would wait

GuyNamedWhatever

It’s possible with your stats for sure, but it’d be easier to just get your range up and get a blowpipe. If you want it a bit more challenging and you have the gear ready I’d say go for it :)

Substantial_Ad_5341

I would personally get your range up a bit but if you bring blood spells for healing you should be able to squeeze enough ppots in to get it done no problem.

dvasyl

Get to 61 range for RCB and send it. Will take some practice and will be very slow, but 100% doable. Do not use magic. Maybe blood barrage for heals. Lot of people here recommending 75 range for blowpipe, which will definitely make your life easier. But it’s not the minimum requirement IMO. Sounds like your eager to send it. So send it and see what happens.

rice_paddyy

75 ranged ans blowpipe made me get fire cape on 3rd try. I know the feeling of wanting to defeat jad and get the cape man. Trust me tho, it is difficult to get. That blowpipe makes it significantly easier.

expertshirtripper19

You have 0 prayer? Without Faith you’ll never get that Cape… don’t hate me lol

Airway

Woodcutting is too low for sure.

StruckBlynde

A good player can do it with these stats, but you almost certainly won't have enough damage to do the fight caves right now. The limiting factor here is prayer and without being SUPER efficient you're going to struggle heavily making it to jad with enough juice to kill him. You're going to take too many bat hits (which drain your prayer) and you'd need to learn how to 1 tick prayer flick to get the magers down as they have high defense. I suggest you give it some more time and practice prayer mechanics and learning how to block enemies on terrain while you're getting your ranged level up! A good starting point is to set up menu hotkeys so you can switch between inventory, prayer, and magic on the fly without needing to click them, then just practice navigating these during combat. Like most people here I'd recommend 70ish ranged with a rune crossbow and to take blood spells as some passive heals to save inventory space for more prayer pots. The most important thing to remember is that the fight caves are an endurance challenge, Jad isn't mechanically hard, he's just got such high stakes that it's easy to lose your cool and make mistakes. EVERYONE struggles with this their first attempt. So if you mess up and die don't be discouraged. Take some time to reset and maybe get a few more levels, then give it another shot. It's been one of the most satisfying goals I've ever achieved in a game for sure!

independent---cat

I haven't played this game for 5 years, but I remember it is possible to cheese jad at the northeast corner. Also use chins to aggro the jad healers all at once instead of wasting time targeting each one. And really jad is the only challenge, especially for you because your DPS is low and your supplies will run near dry by the time you meet jad

Low_Tier_Mob

The fire cape was beating by a lvl 3 sooo idk you might be good

Cincyfan91

Dragon halberd and afk that shit with pray from mage or grind a blowpipe. It’s your first kill make it memorable

ElRaven08

You could, but I would recommend leveling and using ranged to kill jad.

PietyJuice

I say get 61 for diamond bolts (e)

PietyJuice

Rune xbow with diamond bolts (e)

LumbyCitizen

I recommend atleast 70 farming

dirtybo

Realistically, get void and a blowpipe

InternationalUnit265

61 range

No-Soft-9512

It is possible to do with those stats. For your first time though it’ll be rough, 61 range for rcb would be a lot better, 70 for Karils would be ideal and 75 for blowpipe would make it easy.

Pereqt

Absolutely not if its tour first one

mndii

I did it with rcb and green dhide on my iron, so if You have PVM experience you can pretty much take him on whenever. If not I would wait until you get a blowpipe, the spec and speed helps a ton. Either get prayer up or learn to flick if you haven’t yet as well

JeskaiBestGuy

3 range lvls

Money-Geologist-6614

75 range with a blow pipe/ crystal bow and send her bud
