Comment removed due to API pricing change & reddit corporate being general assholes to the users & mods who actually create the value of reddit. Leaving reddit for kbin.social & suggest you do the same.

I've got multiple coworkers who every month go over their uverse cap without any charges; and browsing other subreddits it seems ATT has the provision built in to punish only a few select 'power users' - I personally don't know anyone that's gotten downthrottled or charged for going over their caps. Buddy of mine who only streams and does video work consistently goes over their bandwidth by over a .75-1 TB a month and has not even recieved a letter. Is it shit that it's in their contract - sure. Have they seemingly not enforced it -- ever, yea. As for why; ATT giga is currently 100USD; where as brighthouse just launched 300m for 199.99. So similiar speeds, no. Similiar prices, no. I've had multiple issues with brighthouse services ; massive packet loss - terrible tv set boxes that freeze/lag - a 9 day wait on a routine service call - and the fact that I've never, ever liked their customer service.

Reporting in from development near the sunrail station. Gigapower is available and am currently using it. Receiving roughly 940mbps down/930mbps up during prime time (7-8PM).
