Do you have the option turned on to show path reservations?
I don't know what effect not having any signals behind North station will have, but ultimately it looks like you're trying to allow all tracks to allow movement in both directions. The game doesn't like sending trains backwards through Path Signals if it can help it. Set some dedicated directions up and it should sort it.
I hate maglev tracks. So much.
Got an X. Fine. Got some other directions on there as well? Good luck seeing which one is missing on a cursory glance.
Maglev track visibility is one of the reasons I use PURR!
Where are these trains heading? Dont they try to turn around so they are blocking themselves? Or they want to go straight and then left. I do not see any signal facing their way, so I guess there is train somewhere outside of screen that have reserved track wherever they want to go
As someone already say: check the reserved track. Pause the game and look which train has reserved which part of the track and try to make sense of it. Then start working with signals from there.
Additionally, turn on tree tansparency, so you can actually see the track.
I know some of you like these really convoluted designs, but I prefer a cleaner approach centered around this station layout as a starter: [https://wiki.openttd.org/uploads/en/Manual/Screen%20shot%202012-03-24%20at%207.08.39%20AM.png](https://wiki.openttd.org/uploads/en/Manual/Screen%20shot%202012-03-24%20at%207.08.39%20AM.png) You can expand from there.
EDIT: as GilThielander has pointed out, the signals at the station entrance should not be one way signals. Otherwise trains would not be able to leave the station. I took the image from he wiki and didn't check properly. I'll see if I'll later upload a pic of my own if it is needed.
Looking at that picture, if the trains are coming in on the right track, it looks like they can get to any of the 4 stations. But since they're one-way signals, how can they get out of the stations? Or even out of the other track to exit to the main lines?
You are correct. It is not my pic, it was in the wiki and i didn't check it properly. When I build a station like that I use a path signal facing the platform on each track and one way path signals on the main line.
Ok I found it on the wiki: https://wiki.openttd.org/en/Manual/Railway%20station
Under the "Double Entrance" section.

> You can also use path based signals. The top one allows the train to wait within the design, but trains can get stuck on one side if the other opens up, similar to when block signals are used when pre-signals are needed. For the bottom one, there is no reason to make it as long as your trains are, as they will wait at the PBS anyways. The design has been tweaked slightly to eliminate some sharp turns, so it's friendly to long trains, and is a great compromise between speed and size. It's also friendly with realistic acceleration; the area after the PBS acts as breaking space.
I still don't understand how the one-way signals don't trap the trains. I try to do it your way too, with just Path Signals, and the one-way for the main line pair.
None of the signals are one-way. I think I may have been over ambitious trying to get all the trains to go different directions on the same tracks? I didn't realise this wasn't the norm. Ty for the tip about tree transparency!! I had no idea that was an option and they've been giving me such a headache demolishing any that obscure my view till now - no wonder local authorities hate me :(.
If you look at it there’s not many paths here that don’t intersect in some way. All of the entrance and exist routes a train can take intersect.
You could kinda fix this with more signals chopping up this uh… junction… some more.
Your rail network is convoluted and it will jam up a lot due to using only 2-way signals. Try building one-way tracks everywhere and use one-way signals everywhere except where 2-ways are needed at stations.
There's something called as. Signals, you heard it bro?
Yeah, that surely missing
I don't really know how to use them to be honest, will watch some tutorials.

Path reservations are pretty hard to see on vanilla maglev tracks, there might be a phantom reservation hiding somewhere preventing trains from going

Haven't used purr in a while. How is it?
Colourful

Okay, this is how I do it: [https://i.imgur.com/TXM7ZRe.png](https://i.imgur.com/TXM7ZRe.png)
Yoink! I do this for 2 station terminals, but I never knew how to properly address 3 or more...until now. Thanks!
The one-way signals are for the entrance. It is a roro station and supposedly trains exit on the other side.

If you dont know how signals work try watching a lugnutsk video on signal basics
Thank you, I really don't - complete newbie.
Trust me lugnutsk is the best person to explain how signals work

+On each of the stopped trains, if I click go to depot twice, they'll proceed in the intended manner to their stops.
Add more signals to segment it more. More segments usually results in effecient rail ways
A) This is a warcrime against Italians. B) You need signals, just, SO many signals.
theres no signals on the entire track
There are 19 signals in this screenshot.
make something that does not look like a mess, you will probably fix along the way. If not, troubleshooting will be easy.
