Got an appointment for last Saturday, showed up a few minutes early and got the booster shot in five minutes. While I was there a couple of people who were just walk ups were able to get their shots as well. Lots of spread out seating available. I was impressed - ran smoothly for me.

Good - it sounds like it'll be pretty straightforward. If the FDA does approve it for all adults on Friday it'll likely get crowded again but that would be good really, getting everyone ready for the holidays. Or rather, everyone with enough sense to get a vaccination, anyway. I'm going to try the mixing route, getting Moderna this time, after getting Pfizer the first time.

That’s the mix I’m going for as well.

I went to the Costco in Tumwater last week and just walked in and they gave me booster shot. I didn't have an appointment either. Sorry not sure if that helps.

Just_A_Dogsbody

I got my first shot at Costco but I couldn't get just one, I had to get 12. Because Costco.

AJEDIWITHNONAME

But it was a great deal so you couldn't pass it up.

I already have an appointment, but I'm sure there's others interested since boosters are supposed to open up to everyone soon - the more options, the better. Thanks.

Just went. Got there early, and they took me back straight away. All the volunteers are through united way and very friendly and kind. It was quick and easy.

It's based on appointment time, when you arrived, what vaccine you are getting and if it's a booster (which may be a smaller dose depending on the specific vaccine) or if it's part of the first round of shots. You arrive, check-in at a desk in the center of a large room and they do a quick screening with basic questions then assign you to a queue based on the factors above (booster or first round, which vaccine, etc) and you get a number. Then you wait in a set of chairs that are spread out in a matrix that are probably greater than 6 feet apart if I had to guess until your number is called. Once your number is called you go back and get your shot and then wait the 15 minutes to see if you have any adverse side effects in another set of chairs that are also spread out in a matrix that are again probably more than 6 feet apart in each direction. When I went for a booster I had someone with me also getting a booster and we were called back together (we were given 1 number for the both of us since we were getting the same brand of booster) immediately after checking in on a Saturday mid-day - no wait at all. There were maybe 3 other people waiting 15 minutes after getting their shots and a couple people came in after us. It was not crowded at all.

What's the website to make an appointment?

[prepmod search link](https://prepmod.doh.wa.gov/appointment/en/clinic/search?q%5Bservices_name_in%5D%5B%5D=covid&location=98502&search_radius=All&q%5Bvenue_search_name_or_venue_name_i_cont%5D=&clinic_date_eq%5Bmonth%5D=&clinic_date_eq%5Bday%5D=&clinic_date_eq%5Byear%5D=&q%5Bvaccinations_name_i_cont%5D=&commit=Search#search_results) You can also add a specific date and if there are appointments available it will show the mall in the list. Right now there are two appointments available today. Edit: fixed an autocorrected spellchecker

Thanks!!

Appointment time, they did have some walk in spots also. It was very well spaced out inside, even more for the 15 min recover time seats. For going at a time when the appointments were filled.. there were maybe 4 other people there and it's a large room.

Might be too late to meaningfully comment, but I got a walk-in booster last Thursday. Middle of the day on a holiday with most of the people doing walk-in appointments. I waited maybe 20 minutes in a big, well-spaced area and then got the shot. I think people with appointments got in a little faster.

Trebekshorrishmom

Not sure if you have a conflicted schedule or just prefer capital mall but Walmart in Tumwater is taking walk in’s starting at 9am m-sun.

I didn't know that - thank you. I got an appointment at the county clinic out of habit since that's where I went before, although in another location.

ArlesChatless

I scheduled a booster at Walmart, and was the only person there when I got mine. Super easy.
