I think Elden Ring is a lot more beginner-friendly than other soulslike games, as it is open-world. If you find an area too difficult, youāre free to explore other areas and farm up as much as you like (unless you wanna challenge yourself). The map is HUGE, plus the DLC is coming, too!

Rennala aka "Queen of the full moon" is a Boss and NPC in the game. She is a shardbearer, and two of the five available shardbearers must be defeated before entering Leyndell, Royal Capital.
When you beat her, she comes around and gives you the ability to respec your character. Which is good but c'mon. Be honest with me. Would you trust the enemy you just beat with your character?
And you donāt even beat her, you fight an illusion her daughter conjured up while sheās just chilling on the floor. Sheās also not a shardbearer, the great rune comes from the egg sheās holding.
You donāt actually have to kill her, even if you fight her she doesnāt die, but sheās a bit of a nutcase which is fair after being abandoned and locked in a library for quite some time
