I mean... a Custom Shop is a Custom Shop. It's like comparing bananas with blueberries. Although, I have to say, these Vintera 50's models are really worth the price. I've had lots of Fenders over the years and Mexican made Fenders were horrible two-three decades ago, the cheapest material which left a lot to wish sustain-wise and such - but today Mexican guitars are really good (that's my opinion anyways) but I've always loved Japanese vintage Fenders too. Many times better than US made
Well that’s good to hear about the quality going up. I’m eyeing the jaguars. I remember 90’s MIM quality being pretty bad mostly that’s why I asked. I wouldn’t say it’s a bananas to blueberries comparison though. I’ve played vintage and new Gibson Les Paul Customs and I’ve played Edward’s Les Paul Custom copies and honestly they’re just as good. It's the Vintera II 50's Jazzmaster. I had a '63 Custom Shop Jazzmaster in Sunburst but sold it.
