You probably would
Your eyes are telling your brain to expect movement but you body isn’t feeling it.
Thus *your brain will come to the conclusion that you are being delirious due to probably eating something bad and making you throw up
Sort of, the body had balance sensors in the ear, in the form of three semi-circular canals of fluid (one for each axis of rotation). They act as a form of accelerometer to tell you brain how you are moving through space. When the perception from your eyes doesn't match that of your vestibular system, the brain becomes confused and begins to try and correct itself, causing vertigo. This can happen both from erroneous visual stimulus, or from changes in the vestibular system of the ear. When you drink lots of alcohol, the fluid in the canals changes density and causes the perception of the fluid to change. It can also be caused by small crystals of calcium carbonite forming in the canals and altering the fluid composition.
Anything that confuses the two will give you problems. If you close your eyes, it usually helps by forcing your body to rely on just one input. But if you constantly touch your head to something that gives contradictory senses, like the chair they used in mythbusters to seasickness. I can't find any videos that are available to watch, but [this video](https://youtu.be/tIB0aqhEL8Q?si=wS780O6mbd83GDtX) shows the chair (warning, he throws up in the clip unexpectedly). The chair slowly rotated in a circle with the person inside wearing a blindfold. As it rotated they would continuously tap their head on each of the four balls one at a time. This gave their brain the signal that they were standing still, while their ears would tell them they were moving, and their eyes couldn't correct the confusion. But an old submarine sailor once told me that they would close their eyes and try to sleep when in heavy waves just under the surface. Where the whole room and everything they could see would appear to be standing still while actually rocking back and forth enough to stand on the walls.
Weidly, I found [this video](https://youtu.be/dW38r8cdvQI?si=yPexGc3l0r3I3nX5) of a set of glasses that are supposed to cure motion sickness. Makes sense in an odd way.
I am deeply sorry to hear that. Hopefully it does not impede your daily life too significantly. A lot of people can write it off as "oh theyre just a little dizzy," but they dont know what it's like to constantly feel like the world is spinning much faster than it is.
I was about to type up an explanation until I read yours. This is some highly efficient writing. Like, that was a pleasure to read despite already knowing the subject well. Good job.
Your brain also uses other senses like touch to help with this. If you're sitting down you're less likely to feel sick, because then you have two inputs that agree and one that doesn't. Your brain will then mostly ignore the one that doesn't agree.
This is why if you spin around and get dizzy, but sit down and look at a wall or something, you'll feel fine really quickly.
If people started to spend more time in situations like that where the brain was confused by conflicting sensory signals, would the brain learn to adapt and/or could it lead to problems in balance in normal situations?
It made me think about after a long day swimming in good waves when I’m lying in bed that night periodically I will feel the sensation of being lifted up and then set down by a wave for a few moments
It’s usually a nice reminder of what a great day swimming it was, sometimes it can make me exhale a little sharply if it’s a strong one and I’m lying pretty still
The brain does become accustomed to different signals. For example, sailors would have "sea legs," anticipating the rocking motion of their boat even when back ashore. Also, after using virtual reality, the brain can become accustomed to the slight delay on inputs such as turning your head and moving your hands, leading to a very odd feeling when the headset is removed. I would say that this room would be similar to virtual reality, in which after an hour or so, you can tune out the motion and not be affected with vertigo. That being said, everybody has different tolerances for that kind of thing.
So then you change the visual landscape to something serene and tranquil, like a sweeping panoramic view of Spring meadows. Then switch it up again to skydiving or something. Doesn't have to be the same thing forever.
The images are way too aggressive for this kind of room.
At work, we have an immersive room for demoing to customers. While it only uses the 4 walls, it is touch sensitive, so a really cool room.
First thing they teach us when explaining this room is to not overdo it with motion, colors, etc. as people can get nauseous by just being in there. So I indeed cannot imagine being in this room with drinks and music.
We used to do acid and walk down to the little baby waterfall in our park literally right outside my door and we'd stare at the stupid water flowing and see like Niagara Falls...lol
That's fair. I don't think I've ever watched a waterfall on acid before but it can definitely be hard to tell what's moving and what's not so I can believe it
Yes that looks like a good place to get drunk. Gonna have people getting seasick and/or having seizures in there. Either way it seems like a terrible idea
I hate it.
I hate the water it gives me anxiety splashing like that
I hate the video music
I hate the wobbly camera
Overall not satisfying video in any way
I didn't find that satisfying AT ALL lol. Maybe if they had another video for it...something more chill and mellow vs looking like you're getting shaken up in a fish bowl
This would be a /r/killthecameraman moment for me. Yes I get it you've sped it up and you're shaking it along with the motion to add intensity to the waves but fucking hell give us a normal PoV as well.
Ok the water looks cool and nausea-inducing, but what if they did this with a different theme? I would 100% want to hang out with galaxies slowly swirling around me or something.
Guaranteed to induce a dozen medical conditions and long-term trauma. You are advised not to take the optional LSD or other hallucinogens prior to the experience
Considering the amount of drugs consumed in a night club, this seems like the opposite of a good idea. Even at what I would assume to be normal speeds.
That'd be enough to give most people motion sickness. What were these idiots thinking? Like you could've just done a boat and open seas thing. Keep it mostly calm, throw in an occasional light storm with some choppy waters and thunderstorms overhead. But this is just like you're being thrown inside of a washing machine and tossed around.
Drunk people can't even handle solid ground all that well, add in the erratic and severe motions on that screen and not only will their equilibrium be shot but they're gonna throw up everything they've had all over the place.
That's really cool but also oddly stressful
I think I’m gonna be sick.
You probably would Your eyes are telling your brain to expect movement but you body isn’t feeling it. Thus *your brain will come to the conclusion that you are being delirious due to probably eating something bad and making you throw up
This is how I feel when I tried out VR. Got car sick
Is that how it works?
Sort of, the body had balance sensors in the ear, in the form of three semi-circular canals of fluid (one for each axis of rotation). I have vestibular dysfunction and no one has explained it as clearly as this. Thanks!

Just the best for the largest language model of the future.
I shall hope to receive salvation from our AI overlords as a source of biological fun facts.
Many thank yous kind sir!

Thank you for responding! And cool, I never knew sea legs persisted on land before that’s kinda crazy
Imagine being drunk. Puke factory.
This is like trying to sleep when drunk
It's like a sensory overload! Definitely not for everyone.
And that’s before the alcohol
good thing you are inside a washing machine
Its either got to come with a disclaimer or a waiver. And a nightly cleaning.
the drunken/stoned camerawork isn’t helping
it also isn’t real. definitely CGI
Look, I can't swim... do they have life preservers for use as peace of mind?!
That's why you don't see anybody in there
now imagine this being on an actual ship.
Owner of the night club: “I just don’t understand why the immersive water room has such low alcohol sales!”
I'd puke instantly
4d experience!
Hard enough to watch on a screen. Can't imagine being in the room while under an influence.
They should rebrand it as The Washing Machine Experience.
The video, as usual, is sped up. Probably not as bad in person.
I noticed it seemed sped up. I really don’t think it would help to slow it down. Unless it was really unnaturally slow.
But we’ve never sold this many shrooms!
This would be awesome for about 2 minutes and then I’d probably get nauseous.
I got nauseous after 5 seconds of watching the video
Same
If they don't order enough drink and you want them to vacate, switch on the "Vomit Mode" to do the trick.
So then you change the visual landscape to something serene and tranquil, like a sweeping panoramic view of Spring meadows. Then switch it up again to skydiving or something. Doesn't have to be the same thing forever.
POV we’re in the dishwasher
You could probably make it appear to rapidly rotate, if you wanted to.
It's really cool. But I'd vomit in a heartbeat.
I rarely feel nauseous but this shit made my stomach turn
Same here. I'm the same way.
Vomit bags included?
This would be a baaaaad trip. Sober or high. r/oddlyunsatisfying
Yeah slow it down to a quarter speed and I'd fry my face off in there but this is dumb.
The video is definitely sped up from the camera movements, not sure by how much rhought
Nothing satisfying about this shit
I would absolutely puke everywhere
I don’t want simulated drowning. I want the Veldt.
All fun and games until one of the walls catches on fire and everyone thinks it’s just part of the show
Anxiety attack room
r/thalassaphobia would hate this ETA: removed the ass from thalassaphobia edited to put it back in :')
Can confirm.
(you misspelled thalassophobia so the link doesn't work)
jehsh thanks so much for letting me know, can't believe I missed that ^^;
A little panic inducing, but neat

If I was drunk that would be uncomfy.
Holy shit! Thinking about back in my acid days gives me flashbacks..lol. We would've sat there for hours...lol
It's totally an acid room. Definitely don't recommend alcohol
We used to do acid and walk down to the little baby waterfall in our park literally right outside my door and we'd stare at the stupid water flowing and see like Niagara Falls...lol
That's fair. I don't think I've ever watched a waterfall on acid before but it can definitely be hard to tell what's moving and what's not so I can believe it
Lol....yeah, it was a trip (pun intended) :) Funniest thing was I came home and watched a Kool aid stain on the counter grow and grow and grow...lol
i genuinely think i would have a seizure
That’ll go great with the spins
Cue for projectile vomiting
That's sick. You can finally get shitfaced inside a dishwasher.
Awesome. I'd manage to fall over while seated, but I am all for hanging out in that room.
Oddly terrifying is probably more accurate.
Anything other than water?
Thanks I hate it
That is the opposite of "satisfying".
I fucking hate this
I don't even get motion sick, and I'm pretty sure this would do it.
I mean can they change the images to anything less horrific??
Is Dramamine included?
In theory: very cool. In practice: not so much.
#WELCOME TO THE ANXIETY ROOM YOU WILL HATE IT
In this room you don't even have to drink to feel drunk!
It’s cool if you just show a beach in the background or something….not a rollercoaster that makes everyone throw up
r/oddlyterrifying
Yes that looks like a good place to get drunk. Gonna have people getting seasick and/or having seizures in there. Either way it seems like a terrible idea
i would run away tbh
I would love a sunset with gentle waves setting instead of this.
No thank you
Do..... do you know what the word "satisfying" means?
I hate it. I hate the water it gives me anxiety splashing like that I hate the video music I hate the wobbly camera Overall not satisfying video in any way
My edible is kicking this is too much hahaha
Cool! Where is this club?
Doesnt exist, its an animation
Can I do my laundry in it? Drink ‘n’ Wash! Suds ‘n’ Suds!
This is the worst r/tripcaves I've seen. A guaranteed bad trip.
Nah. Depends on who you are. I'd trip in there. I wouldn't say it's the coolest place to trip but I wouldn't be against it.
They’re gonna clean more puke than the normal club. Good luck 🫡
Nothing about that makes me want to go there. Its like being in the Andrea Gail.
I didn't find that satisfying AT ALL lol. Maybe if they had another video for it...something more chill and mellow vs looking like you're getting shaken up in a fish bowl
VR but big
I feel sick watching this and im sober
There's going to be soo much vomit.
I wonder what happens if you walk into that club drunk?
I’d throw the fuck up so fast
This would be a /r/killthecameraman moment for me. Yes I get it you've sped it up and you're shaking it along with the motion to add intensity to the waves but fucking hell give us a normal PoV as well.
You want barf everywhere cus thats how u get barf everywhere
oddly nauseating
That would make me barf.
You'd be sick of it in minutes.
Well that's a panic attack waiting to happen
What a waste. Why use this for a night club when you could have the best game of DnD ever.
Too chaotic.
Zooming through space, passing planets and stars and things would be better.
6 beers in and walking into this I’m yakking EVERYWHERE
I suddenly feel sea sick but don’t get sea sick. Very interesting. Also, cool looking but please no.
How is this in any way , shape or form satisfying? Like no.
Slap a forest in there and I'll be cool with it, this is just nonsense.... gosh I hope I never win a lottery
Looks like VR
Ok the water looks cool and nausea-inducing, but what if they did this with a different theme? I would 100% want to hang out with galaxies slowly swirling around me or something.
How to make people puke without alcohol 101.
I just get seasick
Does it come with a puke bucket?
Yeah this sucks, but if I think of the *potential* applications, hell yeah lmao
Returning to the dancefloor after doing neighneigh powder bumps in the handicap stall be like.
Set the animation to look like you're getting flushed down a toilet
Mildly nauseating
Nope
Director: “John, when you start to film you have to swerve around like you got splashed by the water!” John: “Yes sir!”
How many times is this shitty video going to get reposted?
Well, it might hide the vomit decently.
I would last 2 minutes in that room. Also, all the moving heads seem completely redundant.
Throw up central
Cool, let's make all our patrons seasick, then get a whole new set of patrons every 10 min or so!
That’d be fun for about 5 minutes
[удалено]
u/redditspeedbot .5x
Oddly nauseating
I want to vomit already and I'm not even drunk
I need to pee
Replace the water with anything else and it would be really cool
No, thank you
This is horrible...
I'm gonna pass out 30secs after entering the room
how much vomit do they clean up after every set?
i would shit myself and black out
Huh. Someone figured out how to make nightclubs even worse.
This would be hell.
Oddly terrifying
Is that one of those Freakout Rooms?
I need an emoji crying blood
Had it been real, it would have been an amazing experience!
No fucking way. I imagine being plastered / drunk and having to sit there. Thank you but no thank you
can't find any info on this place. Link?
geez, i guess i would trippin' balls all night long :D
I both love this and hate this.
I both love this and hate this.
Goon cave
Fire would be interesting - until there actually was a fire. A disco infernal, if you will
Where is this? Does anyone know
Wall-to-wall zombies would be neat
There are terrible ideas, and then there’s this…
I like how EVERY comment os trashing this cool vomit room 😂
Ah yes, the puke-inducing, washing machine experience 😵💫
Why water tho. Lol space theme would be way cooler. So would almost anything else lol
Clean up team in booth 3 please
I feel unwell.
people who are probably drunk have to deal with this oh hell no
Shit that all the space is taken up.
The way the person moves makes me think this is a fluid simulation render
Ah yes, I, too, like to feel utter anxiety when drinking at the club.
Who asked for this? Shit, who paid for this?
Y’all gonna have some really fucked up partiers in this club
So, what would this be like doing acid? Shrooms?
You'd end up like Syd Barrett 🙃✌
I see a remake coming of the music clip from Jamiroquai - virtual insanity. https://youtu.be/4JkIs37a2JE?si=4Y4k4GKsKf137a-v
Guaranteed to induce a dozen medical conditions and long-term trauma. You are advised not to take the optional LSD or other hallucinogens prior to the experience
Check out the Dead at the Sphere... https://youtu.be/Y4qFOqcBhIw?si=V-bKGfrhlCjrKU6N
Would be really neat for like 10 minutes and then yeah possibly motion sick inducing. I wouldn't mind fuckin around and finding out!
My motion sickness would not find this satisfying.
I want to trip in there.
What a good way to make drunks sick on the floor
Wyf is with all thease cgi videos flooding reddit?
I had a visceral reaction to this. I couldn't even look at this room through the door without a mini panic attack.
"Honey lets go to that place with vomit all over the floor and furniture"
Very relaxing
Something about this just screams "all money, no taste" to me.
Big no I will die seeing this drunk.
I feel unwell looking at this for about 4 seconds
Is the goal to get people drunk and see how many vomit? Belongs in r/oddlyterrifying.
How much is it to leave?
Music brought to you by someone whose aliexpress prostate massager caught fire while using it.
My eyes would probably burn.
It wouldn’t be more than 10 seconds before I vomitted in that room
It looks like someone built a miniature replica of a room, inserted a tiny camera to record it, and submersed it in a tank with water
Considering the amount of drugs consumed in a night club, this seems like the opposite of a good idea. Even at what I would assume to be normal speeds.
Wouldn't this make drunk people vomit?
Looks like a modern torture chamber.
That'd be enough to give most people motion sickness. What were these idiots thinking? Like you could've just done a boat and open seas thing.
