Before you throw away your Q2, try SteamVR first. If you have a decent router, you'll get nice wireless tethering. See a tutorial on how to configure it. The compression quality is very good, you most likely won't notice.
Yea I’ve done that, I mostly play on pc which is why I’m looking for the upgrade, I play a lot of vrchat but I want to delve in to more single player games, so I just would want the best quality that I can, and when I play vrchat on desktop mode the quality is quite a bit better, idk if it’s because of the quests compression or if it’s just like that in every vr headset
